sounds like your graphic card past away. try to find the reason why by removing the side panel of your desktop and check things like fan jammed with dust, or eather slightly unplugged card . or simply, it just broke down.
if your computer came as well with a graphic chipset /VGA adapter, remove your GC and plug your monitor onto it or try to borrow another GC and try , ...in safe mode to avoid to mess up
with drivers

Hello,
If you have changed the monitor and the same thing happens, then you are very likely to be having with you display/graphics adapter. Try changing it with a working one and see the results. This should fix your problem.
