So... does it connect to the computer?... then wanna have some fun? :p well i think you should use ubuntu you can get it here: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
then you boot with the live cd and a fast guide how to go into diffrent modes here :
manufracting mode hold (on) and push center button while turning your sansa on..
recovery mode hold(on) and push rec buttin while turns player on
in rec mode it should come a 15 or 16 mb partition showing on the computer in there it is some files

when using ubuntu download :
http://chrisjs.com/PP5022.mi4
http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200/BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom
then replace the original files with those and then emty the trash and unmount the player and unconnect it it should uppgrade system on sansa auto... when finished exit sansa and boot in normal mode hold (off) and don´t push any buttons while start the sansa if it won´t work email me on skrap94@hotmail.com wite sansa problem in beginning of message i will reply as fast as possibel if u having troubel.

My player turns on and displays the pearl icon and no longer moves

Hi
Try removing the device's battery.
Leave the player in the frozen state until the battery dies.
Connect the mp3 to a computer and turn the computer on.
Leave it charging for 15minutes an then try playing music while its still charging.

My sansa when its connected to my computer comes on works syncs and everything so as i disconnect it from my computer it' s dead and wont turn on

Three possibilities;
1) You have a dead battery because the battery is no good.
2) You have a dead battery because your Sansa is no longer charging the battery.
3) You have a dead battery because you didn't leave your Sansa tethered long enough to charge it up.

When you have the Sansa c250 tethered to the computer, you should see a tiny yellow lightning bolt flashing, and a battery icon that shows the amount of charge on the battery.

If you see the lightning bolt, but the battery does not charge after being tethered to a working computer or charger for 24 hours, you may need a new battery. You can get one on Amazon.com. Here's a link:
http://www.amazon.com/HQRP-Replacement-Battery-Universal-Protector/dp/B001NZ981S

If you see the lightning bolt, and the battery charges after 24 hours, AND your player works when unplugged--Problem solved! You just need to let it charge for a longer time.

If you do not see the lightning bolt when the player is tethered, and the battery indicator shows "empty," It's likely that the internal plug to your Sansa c250 has broken. Your Sansa is no longer able to charge the battery.

If you happen to be an electrical engineer, or otherwise have a shop full of electronics equipment (including signal injector, volt-ohm meter, needle-tip soldering iron, and stereo magnifying goggles with work lamps) you may be able to fix it yourself. Otherwise, forget it-- your Sansa is dead.

If it's still under warranty, try to get it replaced. Failing that, it's time to get a new MP3 player.

Hope that helps! Please post a message to let others know what happened to your Sansa player.

MY Zen WONT TURN ON. It also wont charge.

Connect the player to a USB port on the back of a desktop PC.. Check the display for the charging icon . As the display times out after a few seconds, press any button on the player to reactivate the display. If the battery is fully depleted, the charging icon may not be displayed. Cup the player in your hands to check that the blue power LED behind the Play/Pause and Options buttons is blinking on and off repeatedly. This indicates that the player is successfully charging. After 1 hour of charging, power on the unit to activate the display. The charging icon should be displayed. Allow the player to charge for at least 6 hours. During this time, if charging from a USB port, please ensure your PC does not enter a power conservation mode (Standby, Sleep, or Hibernate) as this will interrupt charging. If the player does not indicate a charge, or will not power on after at least 6 hours of charging, please contact Customer Support.
You might try updating your ZEN V or ZEN V Plus firmware to take advantage of new features and functionality.

Is there any such thing as charging my mps nextar MA933a via the USB port? I just get sleepy z's on the display when I connect it to my computer.

Here is what I found:
Connected the player to the PC with and without prior power on successfully
OSD first displays message “Starting…” then:
Icon appears on screen with a picture of a computer monitor to right and mp3 player icon to left
When mp3 player is communicating with computer or sending information, an appropriate directional arrow appears between the two icons; when transferring files using Windows Explorer, the arrow reverses direction appropriately; when there is no activity either way, a series of “Z z z” ‘s appear on screen
Battery indicator icon also appears to right – new AAA battery resulted in a fully charged icon upon startup; no battery whatsoever resulted also in a fully charged battery icon appearing

My mp3 player

The user guide (p 7) mentions pressing the Power On/Off/Stop button (presumably only once, but see below) to charge the battery if the charging does not start automatically when the uncharged player is connected via USB.

The following is from Memorex online FAQs. Hope it might be helpful:
Connect the player with the supplied USB cable. After the cable is connected, press the power button twice. The battery icon in the upper right corner will start filling with bars as it charges.
