Question about Bose 3 2 1 GSX System

1 Answer

Ringing sound When I have my bose 3 2 1 system turned on, no matter if the TV is on or not, or if I'm playing a DVD or not, occasionally the speakers make a low pitch ringing noise for about 30-45 seconds and then it goes away. It happens at random times, nothing seems to trigger it. Can someone help explain why this is happening? Because ever since I noticed it, it is starting to bother me.. Thanks in advance! Jason

You need to bring the head unit and the bassbox back to bose for service or repair, it is aproblem with the powering up of the amp module, and could be caused by the control circuit in the haed unit or a problem in the amp, which has a slow ramp function to prevent louds bangs and pos at start up. in that case i would guess the latter is faulty, i would guess it is also a warranty repair for bose too.

How can I hook up my Bose cinemate on my Philips HD tv when no there is no Audio out and I want to use it for my dvd player, cable box, and video systems?

You don't need to send audio TO a TV. I's a TV, not a source of anything. Many of us use monitors (no TV speakers). The Bose speakers are presumably superior to the TV speakers so whatever the TV is watching (cable/sat/dvd) shuld have its own audio.

Page 11.

If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker

system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite

box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate
speakers.

Swap the left and right cables to see if it's in the Bose or in the TV.

I an lg47 240 hz flat screen hooked to a bose 3-2-1. I got the dvd to play through the bose and sound working through both the bose speakers and tv speakers, but when I try to get the tv to play through...

if you are using a hd reciever make sure the audio output goes directly to the bose system... if you do not have an hd reciever make sure its audio out on the television that you are using if you do have it hooked up right make sure the bose 321 is on the right input such as audio in!!!

if it still is not working exchange it.

Surround sound

your tv might have aux out on the back, I would use that first.
IF NOT, then you will need to use the cable box.  Insert the red and white plugs at the other end of  this cable into the AUDIO IN TV or cable box connectors on the
media center.
Be sure to match red to red and white to white.
3. Use your TV remote control to turn the TV speakers
down to minimum volume.
This prevents the echo effect of audio playing
through both the TV speakers and your 3•2•1®
system speakers.

System echos when dvd is in. When I mute the Bose sytem I can hear the TV sound without the echo.

The echo you hear is the audio delay between your TV speakers and Bose speakers. Muting (or lowering the volume) on the TV will eliminate the echo. Some TVs have a setting to turn of TV speakers entirely, allowing you to listen to your TVs audio strictly through your Bose system.

simplist solution, if the TV has an audio output just run that to the Bose system.
what type of TV are you connecting to?
Is the cable box an HD or digital box?

Connecting bose 321 system to lg hd flat screen, bose receiver plays fm am ok threw speakers.tv will not play threw bose speakers.bose dvd plays sound ,but no picture

You will need a Component Video Cable
Connect the Red Green and Blue Connections from the TV to the Bose.

if your audio is coming from the TV, also connect stereo audio from the TV's audio out to the "TV" input on the bose.

if you want to hook up other devices (VCR, BluRay, etc) the video will go directly to the TV and audio will go directly to the Bose
