Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Bought used hp all in one 6110 will not print

Just bought hp all in one 6110 will not print on my compaq w/ windows vista everything plugged in correctly tried installing just with what windows drivers provides and with the install disk that came with it also tried a couple downloads, but when try to print even test page shows in que says printing but nothing happens, HELP!!

What I would try is:

1. From Control Panel > Printers... uninstall all printers that are there.

2. Unplug the printer from the port.

3. Get the Vista drivers from HP's site.

4. Install the drivers.

5. Plug the printer back into the usb port. The printer need to be ON, btw.

6. Check the Control Panel and confirm that the printer is there and is check as the default.

I had a ghost copy of my HP in the control panel and my applications were trying to print to it, all that did was put documents in the Print Que.

6110 will not print from pc


This could be dependent on your setup. I have mine plugged into a Cisco router and had to install virtual USB drivers before windows would start the application to enable printing. Also make sure your print spooler service is started if using windows 7.

I suppose there was a problem in your driver installation. For most USB devices, it is recommended that the drivers be copied/installed on the pc prior to attaching it via the cable. So, if you attached the printer to the pc before copying its driver to the hard disk, you are likely not to have the right result ok. Put back the driver cd/dvd into the drive tray and uninstall. Restart your pc and then follow the step above. Good luck

HP Officejet 6110 stops printing. Installation of updated software and drivers stops without any warning


Try a complete uninstall:
Unplug the USB cable from your PC.
Go to Control panel add or remove programs. and delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)
Then open my computer> C:drive> Program files> and delete the HP Folder only (not Hewlett Packard)
Then Open C:drive> Program files> Common Files and then delete HP and Hewlett Packard folder.
Then Go to C:Drive> Windows> Temp and empty the temp folder as much as you can.
Then go to Recycle bin and empty recycle bin.
Then Insert the All-In-One CD and cancel the installation process.
Open the content of the CD> and open Util folder> Then CCC> Then click on Uninstall_L4 and follow the on screen process.
After all restart the computer.

And if possible download the latest printer driver from HP website and install the same

vista have scanning program already installed.
choose start->all program "Windows Fax and Scanning"
This feature works only with Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows Vista Business, and Windows Vista Enterprise.

Scanner will not function


See this info re vista driver, not needed for 6110xi and advance features no longer available.

Your disks I don't think will help, looks like it is case of Not fully vista compatable, there are also issues relating to your old HP Director software ie...

"In October 2006, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 7. The HP Director software that shipped with some HP products introduced between 2002 and 2004 may not be compatible with Internet Explorer 7. The HP Solution Center software, which replaced HP Director software, does not exhibit this issue with Internet Explorer 7."

make sure the hone line from the wall is plugged into the port marked "line" and not "phone"
