If it is at dell.com specifically for your laptop, download the file and when you double click on it, it will install. If not, it is not compatible with your laptop.

there is a chance that your pc has a virus or malware on it. most of the time when a computer slows down this is the problem.

I would recommend using avg free internet security. the link to download this is:

Drivers

First identify which driver's are not installed. Like sound, video or LAN internet etc.. You can do that in Device Manager (Right - Click My Computer and go to Properties and click device manager in Vista/7 on the left) Identify which drivers are not installed
Just install the software by the name of Driver Robot from the following link
http://www.driverrobot.com/download/
After the installation run the program and go to the Exporter Section and click Export.
You need the save the html file somewhere in My Documents or Desktop. After the scanning is finished and the file is made. Copy the file and run it in a computer with active internet connection. After opening the html file through some web browser like internet explorer, Click on the GET DRIVERS link and you will guided to the driver's download webpage.
From the Downloads page, download the drivers for the devices that didn't had any driver like sound, Video or LAN etc..
Then copy the install file to the computer and run it.

All that you would have to do is contact your Internet Service provider to configure your wireless settings changes that would be in sync with the settings that you have on your computer.

Check your wiring:

Cable-modem (or DSL-modem) <---> WAN-port on Router

LAN-port on router <--> network-port on your desktop computer

Follow the instructions that came with the router,
to access the built-in web-server "inside" the router.
Run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard" to configure your wireless network.

Now, try to access your newly-defined network from your laptop.

Moved network

You should be able to switch the two, however, if this requires a network to be set up in order to run both computers through the same router, I recommend having someone do this for you.
