Hello, In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, etc. All Generic Cartridges, will print lines thru the words, and also do a mix match with the colors. That's what the Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for the PRINTERS.

Since you do not mention what type of printer you have, or error code you are getting, this is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

I have a HP 4100 printer. Installed new ink.Purple streaks

That's a neat trick. The 4100 is a printer that uses one BLACK toner cartridge. It doesn't print in color. And it doesn't use ink.

Black ink cartridge wont print, have installed a new ink refill still no joy. Will print in all other colours.

Well if you already installed a new black ink cartridge and still wont print, then try cleaning your printer head. It can be that the some ink was hardened and got stuck preventing you to print a black color.

Ink cartridge light keeps blinking BEWARE SPAM NUMBER 1-800-532-4187

you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.
