Question about HP vs15 15"LCD Flat Panel Monitor
my problem was fixed by viziks from FixYa dated Sep 12
replaced 2 push pull transistors 2sc5707 in high voltage transformer circuit
Transformer used for backlight lamps
Both monitors now working THANKS VIZIKS

My monitor flickers on and off and at times shows a box saying input signal out of range

The power supply in this monitor has probably failed, but since HP doesn't stock spare parts for their monitors you will probably need to replace the whole monitor. HP only does full unit replacements on their LCD monitor range.
HP also doesn't provide any electronic schematics so getting it repaired will be difficult.

It could be the cord between the vga card and the monitor. If it is damaged, the monitor goes to sleep immediatly because there is no signal. Check all possibilities before parting with your cash.
