Problem with applying profile

I have a good signal but when I am trying to log on I get this error message which says problem applying profile what can i do I NEED HELP PLEASE

    I have a WGR614 v6 NETGEAR wireless router.
    As I plug the cable into the router I can see a strong signal which rates excellent but when I connect to it it gives me "limited to NO connectivity" while full connection bar is visible

This is typical of your profile (The saved wireless settings on your computer for your wireless network) not amtching the settings on the router. Most commenly this occures if there is a change in the sercurity settings (such as WEP encrytion changed from 64 to 128 bit). If you have WEP or WPA incrytion applied please verify that all your computer has the same settings and key in the wireless profile.
If you have no security set up and your network is Open then is very possible someone logged onto your network and changed your routers security settings (very simple if you left your router's admin password at the default). Your best bet in that case would be to follow the directions in your router's manual to reset all settings to the factory default. After your do be sure to go back through the setup and apply at least 64 bit WEP incryption

Cant download skype, problem with toolbar, error 2738


Take a look in Event Viewer I looked in Event Viewer to find out what MSI-file that generated the error message and found:

Beginning a Windows Installer transaction: C:\ProgramData\Skype\{D103C4BA-F905-437A-8049-DB24763BBE36}\SkypeToolbars.msi. Client Process Id: 6564.
2. Running MSIEXEC with logging options I started a "Command Promt" and used the command: "cd C:\ProgramData\Skype\{D103C4BA-F905-437A-8049-DB24763BBE36}" to navigate into the folder containing the MSI-file.
Now using the command: "msiexec /i SkypeToolbars.msi /lv log.txt" (msiexec options: /i = Install, /lv = Log + Verbose output).
After clicking away the error message I just wrote "log.txt" in my "Command Promt" to open the log-file. Near the bottom of the log-file I found this line:
DEBUG: Error 2738: Could not access VBScript runtime for custom action
3. DEBUG: Error 2738 After a quick search at Google I found out this error indicates that the VBScript engine is not registered on the computer.

The solution for a Windows Vista or Windows 7 32bit:
- Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click "Command Promt" and click on "Run as administrator"
- Write "cd %windir%\system32" and hit Enter
- Write "regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll" and hit Enter
- You should now get a message that says: "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
- Click "OK"
The solution for a Windows Vista or Windows 7 64bit:
- Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click "Command Promt" and click on "Run as administrator"
- Write "cd %windir%\syswow64" and hit Enter
- Write "regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll" and hit Enter
- You should now get a message that says: "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
- Click "OK"
4. Try again... Now I tried once more to run "msiexec /i SkypeToolbars.msi /lv log.txt" (I kept the /lv log.txt option to look for changes if the installer would fail again).
If you still get the same Error than continue to step 5.
5. Cleanup registry first, then re-reg My installation still gave me the same error, so after some more searching and reading on Google I found a solution that explained what I tried before (with the regsvr32.exe) and also an alternative step if that one should fail. The alternative step was to remove the Registry Key pointing to vbscript.dll.
The alternative solution for a Windows Vista or Windows 7 32bit is then:
- Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click "Command Promt" and click on "Run as administrator"
- Write "reg delete "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}" /f" and hit Enter
- Write "cd %windir%\system32" and hit Enter
- Write "regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll" and hit Enter
- You should now get a message that says: "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
- Click "OK"
The alternative solution for a Windows Vista or Windows 7 64bit:
- Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click "Command Promt" and click on "Run as administrator"
- Write "reg delete "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}" /f" and hit Enter
- Write "cd %windir%\ syswow64" and hit Enter
- Write "regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll" and hit Enter
- You should now get a message that says: "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
- Click "OK"
Now using the command "msiexec /i SkypeToolbars.msi /lv log.txt" the installer started perfectly, ran all the way thru and Finished.
Conclusion This message indicates that VBScript engine is not currently registered on the Computer running the installer.
Vbscript.dll must get registered to solve the problem.

Strong signal but cannot log on to internet. Also uther wireless works and logs on. also direct wire from modem thru router to computer does not work. if i go directly from modem to computer the compter...


it seems that you need top reconfigure your router
following are step to reconfigure router


RECONFIGURE THE ROUTER:
1. Please remove all the connections from the router. Connect power to the router and then connect a cable from the computer into any of the 4 lan ports on the router. Make sure the modem should not be connected to the router or to the computer.
2. Open up the Internet Browser (Safari, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc.).
3. Put http://www.routerlogin.com/basicsetting.htm in address bar.
4. On the basic setting page scroll to the bottom and click on Apply.
5. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
6. Click on lan ip setup under advanced.
7. Change the lan ip to 192.168.10.1 and under use router as a dhcp server change the starting ip as 192.168.10.2 and ending ip as 192.168.10.51, click apply and click ok for any popup message that arise.
8. Once the browser display some error message like CANNOT FIND SERVER, ACTION CANCELLED etc, Connect the dsl modem on the wan port of the router and restart the computer.
9. Power off the dsl modem and the router after making the connections.
10. Power on the dsl modem and wait till the dsl light comes on, then power on the router.
11. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
12. Access the router (http://192.168.10.1).
13. Login to the router (Username = admin Password = Password).
14. Click on Setup Wizard and then select "Yes" and Click "Next" on the detection window.
15. It should give you a "Dynamic IP Detected" or "pppoe detected"(type the Username & Password of your dsl account in case of pppoe detection) and then click next.
16. Click Apply.
17. Logout of the router.
18. Open up another browser window and try to access internet.

Can play online ps3 for a short while then error message signal strength nil. Also if i turn on laptop and connect to internet via Belkin it switches off ps3 connecton

Please follow the below steps,

1.Try to open 192.168.2.1,in Internet explorer

2.In left hand side you have a menu called "Wifi protected setup" click on that it ,will ask for password "Leave it blank" and click submit

3.Select the Option as Disabled and click on apply changes

4.Then check in both you will be able to play and access your laptop

Temporarily connect to the router with a cable and reconfigure it to use a different wireless channel. While you're there, this is a good time to change your security mode - WEP is dangerously weak and you should switch to WPA unless you have a very good reason not to.

If all else fails, there's a reset switch (hidden inside a hole) on the back of the router.

Can't resolve a W010 connection error


Let put all not IP Address in Obtain. I put all IP ADDRESS manually. Usually this will cause to your internet connection drop. I encounter your problem before but i use DUAL WAN or 2 Internet Provider.
And i hope it's the same problem to me.

Network Path not found


Your windows profile is broken,.or loaded from another computer (or server) that is down or not running. If you and your computer go direct to the net, not through some kind of network, then you might want to creat a new ADMINISTRATOR profile (via windows control panel)and delte the old one once you have copied what you need.

Can't connect a laptop wireless to WRT150N


What you can do is remove the wireless connection profile that is saved and create a new one. Go to wireless connection properties and create a new wireless profile. If that doesn't work, what you can try is change the wireless channel of your router to Standard Mode using channel 11 the power cycle the router.

wireless works fine, anything plugged in gets cut off after a few minutes.

Hi Srini here,
Try the following steps :

1-Log in to ur router by typing 192.168.2.1 in to address bar of ur internet explorer.
2-select "Virtual Servers" tab under firewall & select MSN Messenger option in the combo box on the top & apply.

It may fix your problem.

k first delete all temp files and cookies and clear history>and change teh dns to global one>i hope that u pinged with the web site have u tried ping with the ip address of teh web site>then here the way to change teh dns to static
start-->control panel-->and network connection-->right click on local area conn-->properties-->and high light the TCP/IP-->and click properties and u can see a dialog box>in that look @ the left side down u can see obtain DNS sufficx>and use the current following DNS select that and the DNS range is
