Question about Acer Aspire 5610-4648 Notebook
The machine can't seem to be powered using the 240volt adapter.iv had the adapter cheched n technitions say its ok.somhow the battery doesn't seem to be charging when the 240volt supply is on n the laptop jus blacks out when trying to switch it on.
My laptop randomly switches off from time to time and the red light flashes...what dus tht mean?....thought the fans were dusty but supposably the packard bell batteries can be quite dodgy. Try gettin a new battery

Nothing runs on 240volts, execpt some house hold appliances like an electric dryer. I think you bought the wrong adapter. Click the link below & it will take you to your notebook.
Scroll down to "Power".
