Question about Mach Speed (S755) Motherboard

1 Answer

Mach Speed availability

I have not been able to find an active web site for Mach Speed. I have tried: http://www.machspeed.com/products.htm and all I can find on Google. Is there a different choice? Are they still in business.

Neither of these sites were located using IE7.

After another day of not being able to connect to either web site, today it worked fine. I don't understand but that's ok. Thanks for the help.

It's a bit sparse, but here it is:

and for older motherboard products:

http://www.machspeed.com/specs/discontinued.htm

Hope this helps

I'm able to get to them using IE7 - but I found them, and looked at them again today, late in the day. Perhaps the site is not available earlier in the day?

Need manual for MSNV-939 MB

Hi hickoryhi138,
The motherboard your referring to is made by Mach Speed.
Click on the link provided & scroll to the bottom of the link to download the manual; http://www.machspeed.com/specs/MSNVspecs.pdf
Drivers are also listed on the link.
For the manual (Only), click on the next link; http://www.machspeed.com/manuals/MSNV-939manual.pdf
Go to page 19, Header for Front Panel Facilities: JPANEL1
Knowing what wire color is positive & which is negative varies from case to case. Check the group of front panel wires. Most likely one wire from each 2-pin connector will share the same color. Like the color white which is common for ground/negative. Other colors, blue, green & red are commonly positive. The only exception is the speaker wires. Mach speed only uses two wires across four pins. Black is most common for ground & red is for positive.

Good luck hickoryhi138!
Thanks for using FixYa.

Motherboard specs

Hi dwman113,
Yes your Mach Speed MB will support 2x1 GB, Dual Channel Mode DDR2-800MHz, PC6400 memory modules. (Manual states the memory dimms should be paired).
Also known as matched memory.
Max Shared Video Memory is 256MB, refers only to the integrated built in video card.
Click this link to help you understand what CL stands for; http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/26/3
Small example. CL3 runs faster than CL5.
You can run any PCI-Express 16x graphics card & it can be rev 2.0. Graphics cards are backwards compatible which means it will also run at v1.0. You should not buy a SLI card because you only have 1 PCI-E x16 slot. To run SLI, (Hooking up 2 PCI-E x16 cards together viva a small SLI connector) your motherboard would need two PCI-E x16 slots & the board must support SLI mode & your's does not. Here is the main web site link for your Mach Speed MSA2-6100V MB.
http://www.machspeed.com/specs/viper/MSA2-6100V.html
If you have any more issues or questions just post it & we'll go from there.

Good luck dwman113!

Driver for main board

Hi fady1973, It would have been a little easyer if you would have posted the manufacture of the board.
After looking at a few boards I believe you are looking for Jetway's PM9MS, Socket 478 PM800 & 8237 chipset. Click on this link: http://www.jetwaycomputer.com/spec/pm9ms.html
No driver's listed.
Mach Speed MB: http://www.machspeed.com/specs/discontinued.htm#p4m800

You can try VIA at this link: http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=7&CatID=1120
The PM800 is supported here. You can also allow VIA to scan you're board for the correct drivers. As a member of driverguide.com, there were no drivers found for either PM800 or PM9MS.

Sorry, unable to find drivers other than VIA.
Good Luck!
Mike

Pc wont give any sounds or boot up

You must have a case speaker pluged into the four pin header coming off the board. In your manual on page 16 is a diagram. Your current Mb speaker may be defective. You can possible get one from your Mfg. Technical support issue at 580.272.0035
