My key fob has stopped working changed battery still does not work my car is a vauxhall zafira w298 ske registration

Replace the car battery when its low it causes all sorts of strange electrical gremlins.

yes then when you get in turn key to number to and press the fob the locks should lock the door and the fob is rest.

Hi when you say it starts do you mean it turns engine over but not running , if so open you key fob up to see if the small transponder chip is still there it will be on the side of the main prt of the fob itself as most of the time these fall out when keys are dropped and deprecate losing the transponder chip if it is still there and no spare key you will have to get it recoded/ chipped

it may be that the battery is not working but if it is for a vauxhall/opel you will need to open the car manually and then use the key as normal in the ignition and it resets the key
