Goes Blank Hello, I recently got Kogi L5QX 15" LCD monitor.
When I first plug in everything it was working perfect then about 30
minutes after it went blank. (I was changing the brightness and
contrast) , just white screen. What should I do? my computer is Dell. Thanks
Ok ... i answered your last post as well. is there a reset button on it. the few lcd monitors i've worked on required pressing the far left hand button on the front to reset it.

Hello sir, I have samsung 22in lcd monitor and nvidea fx5500 card. since last more than 6 months, my monitor goes blank If system remains idle (means I don't move mouse and don't touch keyboard) for 1 minute. After monitor goes blank I have to move mouse to brink it back to on. The power led keep on during this problem. I tried everything including power options in windows but could not fix it. Is it bios setting to be checked or could it be windows bug? Please help
The buttons on the front of your monitor will have a set up. When you get into setup mode there will be a bunch of symbols. Use the other buttons to scroll around to the correct one. It will be the one with the arrows pointing to the top and bottom of the screen.
There should be either a + - button or something like that. Just push the one that makes the screen shorter to the desired height.
cheers and good luck
I tried the suggestion on one of your posts. Simultaneously, pushing in the two middle buttons on the front of the monitor. I figured it out from there. Thank you!
No fear there, you have likely only cracked the protective glass covering and not the display itself, if the display itself was cracked then you would either lose your video or have a severe distortion in the area of the crack.
So dont sweat it!

Thank you for taking the time.
All you have to do is change the monitor resolution to that mode. That's probably the maximum resolution you will get with that monitor, video card, and comptuer.
I would not recommend this because my monitor will probably burn up from doing this but; I just lost my power supply last night and I took a power cord from my seagate external 500 GB hard drive which has the same pin size plug in that goes into the monitor and plugged it directly into the wall. I assume that the external hard drive uses the same ac to dc converter although it looks just like a cord with no inverter capabilies. Not sure of the amps though and this could burn up the monitor completely. Works for now.
Replacement is probably the only option at this point. It would cost more to fix than it would be worth new. Try going to:
www.tigerdirect.com
www.newegg.com
They are usually running cheap specials on monitors.
