Question about Digital Blue Tony Hawk HelmetCam Camcorder

1 Answer

Wont record When the camera is turned on, the only thing that comes up on the screen is the 50 or 60hz and the lazer doesn't come on. It also wont record. Then when the memory card is taken out, everthing comes up and turns on but without the memory card it won't record anything. What is the problem and what can I do to fix it?

Tried 3 different cards, same result. The camera only turns on with no memory card in it which means you cannot record.

The screen that says reinsert the cassette.

Tht means the recording protector tab of the tape is on, check the tape, most or f the time there will be a plastic piece tht can be broken off if u need to prevent any thing from recording on it, try covering the hole with a piece of adhesive tape and try recording

Hi,

If you are trying to record to a tape and the display shows "Protection", you must slide the protection tab at the top of the tape to the "Rec" position.

Recorded images has verticle lines

No, most camcorders doesn’t work when you recording the image directly on the screen, that means you use your camcorder shot directly to the screen. Maybe the frequency is different, I have tried used RC plugs directly connect to the VCR and recorded, it is much clear.

Camera will not record

Contact Sony at 1-800-222-7669.  Mine was doing the same thing and it is a weak link in the DCR-TRV460 and DCR-TRV260.  They are sending me a shipping label and say they will fix it for free.
