Not cooling door not sealing no suction in cab

FRIDGE COILS or door walls SEEM VERY HOT:

The condenser coils do get hot. They can even be to hot to comfortably touch and this is normal.

The refrigerator should not run constantly but shut off with each defrost cycle.

Running constantly and never cycling off can indicate a cooling problem.

One thing to try is to wait till it has been running a few minutes then open the door and turn your cycling thermostat towards the off position. It should cycle off before getting to the off position on the dial.

If it does not cycle off then it's not getting cold enough to satisfy the thermostat. This is likely the reason the refrigerator runs all the time.

A thermometer in a glass of water can be used to check the temperatures in the refrigerator section.

You can check that all fans are running.

the reason the outer side of the door seal area is getting hot is the compressor is over heating, probably the condenser fan motor to your compressor is bad.
It should be a little warm but not hot. they don't use heaters anymore ( some older models still use heaters) around the doors, instead they use the condenser coils to remove condensation and moister, you might want to check your condenser coils on the bottom or back of fridge to see if they need cleaning
If the condenser coils/condenser fan are all plugged up they need cleaning and/or the condenser may fail or has failed..

The ones that use an electric heater will have an "energy saver" switch that will turn it off.: God is the reason I give you free advice so God is good!

I have kelvinator fridge it doesn't cool in both compartment we replaced the compressor il coold down for only 3dayes then returned back to hot state

is the condenser fan running back there?also did you clean out the condenser coil?usually when the middle strip gets hot the coil is filled with dust or the fan where the compressor is isn't running.the condenser fan keeps the compressor cool and all the heat from the machine escapes out through the condenser coil.check this, also the start device could be bad on the compressor, send model number next time you write so whoever helps you can look up your machine.hope this info helps you out.

Traulsen refrigerator drain pan sizzles as the hot water is being evaporated. what can absorb and/or safely deflect this hot water as it hits the pan?

The problem is not in your drain pan, the problem is why is your drain pan getting hot enough to sizzle water as it hits it?

Are there hot spots on the cabinet? That would be a sign that the condenser grill is not able to transfer heat out of the sealed unit compartment. Which could mean a dirty condenser grill or back panel. Are items stored behind the unit that is affecting air flow? Is the compressor fan working and pushing air across the condenser grill and compressor.

Unit makes ice, full evaporator,is very slow, maybe 45 mins. from harvest to harvest. Why so slow?

Possible causes are many
Things to check
  • If air cooled, is the condenser coil clean and is the condenser fan running when in ice production ? Is the area extremely hot where the ice machine is located? If water cooled, is there adequate water pressure and is the water regulating valve set properly?
  • When the system switch is in the off position is there any water running ( if so the inlet water valve may be stuck open)
  • When in ice production, is the small tube that feeds from the hot gas solenoid hot? This tube comes from a valve at the back of the unit and feeds over the compressor and into a tee near the insulated Tx valve. This line should be hot during harvest and cool shortly after harvest.
  • Has the float switch assembly been cleaned. this is a cylindrical unit beside the water pump,It can get plugged with minerals and not initiate harvest
  • The system may have a refrigerant charge problem (short) or the compressor may be weak, at which point diagnosis would need to be done by a refrigeration tech
Hope this helps

Evaporator pan overflows. Outside of refrigerator gets hot periodically around the door.

Warm sides-
It's usually caused by the condenser fan which is underneath around back. If it's not running when the compressor runs it will cause the problem you describe. You will need to remove the cardboard backing on the back of the fridge to access the fan.

evaporator pan-
When the water filter is full some are designed for the water to go to the evaporator pan. Check to see if the filter is stopped up.

Compressor running very hot but almost no cooling. Fan running

make sure the coils are clean both evaporator and condenser, then if there is a capacitor in the motor circuitry, check this, finally if the coils frost, then clear up and frost and clear up time and again, this is a sign of low refrigerant R134a,and this also will make the compressor run hot

Motor is hot?

Which motor is hot...compressor or fan?
Also need to know the model number.
Is this a 3-phase or single-phase unit?

Let's assume it is the compressor...Is it so hot that you can't touch it for more than a second or two? Is the compressor shutting down on internal thermal overload?

Compressor body hot can be caused by a number of things:
1. Low charge (the freon acts as a coolant for the compressor).
2. Electrical imbalance (3-phase only). (check line-to-line voltages)
3. Bearings in compressor failing (check amp draw).
4. Condenser dirty or airflow blocked in some way.
5. Condenser fan(s) not running or running backwards.
6. If water cooled condenser then water flow problem.

Hope this helps you get started.

If this helps you, please select YES to the first two ratings questions. Thank you, and Good Luck.

Amana 20 - 20 years old. Freezer thawing - refreezing. Fan running very hot in the compressor arae at the bottom. Drip pan full of water - never saw that before.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE DEFINITE ISSUE WITH YOUR COMPRESSOR, IT MAY BE CONSTANTLY RUNNING OR RUNNING TOO OFTEN, THIS WOULD CAUSE THE LARGE AMOUNT OF HEAT COMING FORM THE BOTTOM. IF YOUR COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING TOO MUCH YOU WILL ALSO GET AN EXCESS AMOUNT OF WATER EVAPORATING DUE TO CONDENSATION ON THE EVAPORATOR COILS THEREFORE FILLING UP YOUR DRAIN PAN THAT MUCH QUICKER. YOUR FRIDGES COMPRESSOR MAY BE ON THE WAY OUT BUT YOUR FRIDGE SOUNDS LIKE IT'S WORKING THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.HOPE THIS HELPS

THANKS

Freezer not freezing and fridge not cooling

Check the back wall of the freezer for ice buildup.
If yes, a defrost parts problem.
Check the freezer fan. Is it running?
If no, replace the freezer fan.
Check the condenser fan at the compressor. Is it running?
If no, is compressor hot?
If compressor is hot replace condenser fan motor.
If compressor is not hot.
Replace the compressor start relay.
