Fellows: Thanks for your help, but the solution was mundane: I just did not know that the square button in the middle controlled the volume and overlooked it in my search of the user guide. Many thanks to all.

Probably if u bought that phone from somebody else, they mess with the volume using a program and the USB cable that goes to ur phone, i m not sure of the name for tha program for ur Nokia phone, most nokias work with the same program so u should try to get that software and use P2k tools to mess with the volume.

Every cell phone pass an amount of time that could decrease his ability of working as the speakers volume or the amount of charge.
I suggest you to change the battery life which is the main problem of your volume.

Speaker too low, hard to hear. can i adjust volume?

What phone do you have?
On most phones there are buttons on the side to adjust volume.
There are also options for volume in your device's settings, under sound.
If it is hard to hear someone during a call you can turn on speaker mode which will make the sound a lot louder.

How can I increase the volume for hearing conversation on my nokia 2630 mobile phone?

Hi,

I have a Nokia phone, very similar model. To turn up the speaker volume during a call, use the left(lower volume) and right(higher volume) navigation keys on your nokia.

Thank you for your request

I have samsung E1410 mobile having problem in hearing. I cant hear a voice unless n untill I turn internal speaker on. I want to hear without speaker, plz help me to achieve this.

Its usual that due to fair wear and tear the speakers volume goes down. If the volume is too low it indicates that this is the time to change the speaker. Take the phone to a mobile mechanic he will desolder the onboard speaker and resolder a new one. He will charge around 7$ for doing this.

Your earpiece mechanism is bad & needs to be replaced.

I have fixed numerous phones like that, even my brother has the same issue before.

go to a local repair shop to have it replaced.

Buzzing noise while making a call

This happens at many phones due to the speaker which buzzes because of the waves made by the conversation. For example try calling someone and be near a desktop pc speaker or radio and you'll hear the same buzzing noise
