This is done through the print software. Depending upon what program you are using, there may be more than one way to start a print job:

1) Click a print icon within the application - this will usually print with the default settings, (prints entire document, 1 copy)

2) Click the "File" menu, then select "Print..."
This brings up the print job with options for printing, for example number of copies, certain pages, order of printing etc.

My printer prints multiple pages even though number of copies in setting shows 1

Try looking here: open your printers fax folder. Your printer should be listed here, right click on it and select properties. Now click on the advance tab. There should be a printer defaults button, click on it. Make sure your copies number is set to 1. Then click ok on each window and close.

Hope this helps

My HP printer is printing multiple copies of the same document every time I print. The only way to stop it is to cancel the printing job.

it sounds like in your printer driver, the number of copies is set to more than 1 page.

go to printer drivers, and look under printing preferences, and look for what themultiple copies are set to.

How can i put 4 photos on A4 page-using an epson rx700

Go to your printers and faxes (xp), or Devices and printers (Win7) folder
Right click on the RX700 and choose Printer Preferences
Select A4 as the paper size
Select Page Layout tab and select Multi-Page and select 4 (default is 2)
Select 4 copies
Print away!

Alternatively, if you're using Windows, use the Office Picture manger, Picture and fax viewer of the like, and select the multi pictures setting. If you're printing one photo 4 times, remember to select 4 copies, as you're telling the app to print ONE pic in a 1/4 of the A4 page. You need 4 copies to fill the page with the same photo.

Hope this helps.

Canon Image Runner 7200 prints twice instead of once. When I ask for two copies I get four copies.

If you are using Windows, you will want to check the drivers of the printer to make sure you are not selected on 2 copies.

Go to Control Panel\Printers and faxes
Right click on the printer driver and select "printing preferences".
Make sure the "Copies" is set to 1.

You can also try a wtest page by going to "properties" and select "print test page".

Prints backwards

You mean your printer prints from last page to first page, right?

Check your printer settings/preferences and change the page print order settings.
You can change the printer preferences from most Windows applications (click File/Print ..., select you printer, then click on Preferences).
You can also change the settings from Control Panel/Printers or else click Start/Settings/Printers, then select your printer icon and right click on it, then click on Properties and, under the 'General' tab click the printing preferences.

Printed copy in correct page order- HP officejet 6110

Hi :)

This may work and its only a few simple clicks :) but it will take less time then re ordering you pages :)

IN the printer settings or Print preferrences there should be a tab for "Advanced settingings"

Go to Control Panel and select "Printers"
Select the general tab and at the bottom of the window select "PRINTING PREFERENCES"
another window will open
from here select the Advanced tab
Find Layout Options in the list
click it you should see "Page Order" and a drop down menu for front to back or back to front.
switch it to whatever order it is that you need and test it out.

or if that doenst work try this:

Set the most frequently used copy settings as the default. This includes changes to Copy Setup options in the menu system, as well as other front panel copy settings.
  1. Make any desired changes to the copy setup from the menu or the front panel copy option.
  2. Press Menu .
  3. Press 1 , then press 4 . The settings are now saved.

these are the only ways I have found to correct the problem.

Double sided printing Pixma MP520

here's how:

print double sided pages

1. Set your computer software for double sided printing if you have a printer that is compatible. Double sided printers are generally professional style machines, and most offices, schools and libraries will have them. On a PC, go to the drop down "File" menu and select "Double Sided Printing" under the "Preferences" or "Properties" window and print. If you have a MAC, click "Copies and Pages" under the "File" menu, select "Layout" and then click on "Long-Edged Binding" and print.
2.Print double sided with your standard home printer, again, by setting your PC writing software. When you are ready to print, click on the drop down "File" menu and select "Print." From the "Print" window select "odd pages only," or "even pages only."
3.Set your odd and even pages a bit differently if you are working with MAC writing software. Select "Print" from the drop down "File" menu and click on the arrow to drop the "Copies & Pages" menu. Under the "Copies & Pages" menu, select "Paper Handling" and then click on "Odd Numbered Pages" or "Even Numbered Pages."
4.Select "Odd Pages Only" or "Odd Numbered Pages" and then print as usual. It is a good idea to mark the top of your first page with a pencil so that you know the direction and side of the page your printer prints. Use the mark to determine how to turn your pages and place them back in the printer. Select "Even Pages Only" or "Even Numbered Pages" and print again. $('.Article .Steps .Image').each(function(i,e){ e = $(e); e.find('img').error(function(){ $(this).unbind(); e.remove(); }); });

Printer problem

The error means waste ink absober is full, you must have been doing alot of printing,

Every Canon Pixma has a certain number of pages and/or cleaning cycles it can go through before the waste ink pads are considered to be full.

I have not been able to find the number of pages to fill the waste pad anywhere, it might be in the users manual.

An actual number of pages printed would be more helpful, how many reams of paper have you run through it?

If that machine has a self test page it might include a page count. try the follow steps:
Turn on your MP110.
After that press: Menu - Scan - Copy - Scan.
It will enter in Service Mode.
Here I don't know exactly the procedure but may be something like that for mpc190/200 that follow:
Resetting the Waste Ink Volume Counter
1) Enter SERVICE MODE.---
By pressing Menu-Copy-Scan-Copy-Copy
2) Select TEST MODE.
3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
6) Press the [OK] key.
7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key.
