I have a 10 year old Toshiba Theaterview. When the floor is jarred a little bit, the picture diasappears...just black. The picture tries to flicker back on when jarred again. especially by the circuitboard where the video plugs from the cable box plug in.

I'm a little confused about your question and dishwasher model number.... Is this an older (more than 10 years old) dishwasher? Maybe could you send a picture? Well, I THINK I know what you're talking about, and you should be able to unscrew that "knob", but you may need to get or use one of those rubber pads used to remove tough jar lids.
Sounds like you have air in one or more brake lines. All four brake lines needs to be bled to get all air no matter how little air is in them. Recommendations use two people to do this one in vehicle one at the wheel you are bleeding. Loosen bleeder, attach a rubber tube that fits tight around fitting, get a glass jar, (I use a baby food jar) put a little brake fluid in jar so the tube doesn't **** back in air, slowly apply brake and watch air bubbles in jar, do this until no more air bubbles come out. You must do this on all four wheels to be effective. If this doesn't work there is a leak somewhere. Lines, caliper, or wheel cylinder. Happy Motoring!!!!!!
Take apart the carb and give it good cleaning maybe even but a rebuild kit if available. also disconnect tank hose from carb and empty tank into clear glass jar. Sounds like there might be some water in your gas. In the glass jar you will see a clear line of liquid at the bottom that would be water, even just a little will give these similar symptoms. Good Luck....
Common issue with all of these carafe's. Once the jar starts to leak the bearings are shot and it is time to replace the jar. The bearings are non-replacable. Bad design in my opinion. I was able to get my last jar (I have been through 3 before the 5 year warranty went out) to last by hand washing and not putting it in the dishwasher, but after 4 years of use on this jar it failed too.
It sure sounds like a solder connection opening up after the set warms up enough. If that was the problem you should be able to get it to ace up by jarring it with the palm of your hand. (Don't get carried away and hurt yourself or the set). If jarring the set gets it to cut off, I can't imagine why the repair shop couldn't find the problem. If another shop is nearby, authorized or not, you may want to give them a try. If no amount of jarring the set will get it to act up, then it could very well be not worth repair due to the amount of time that would be needed to localize the circuit that is intermittent.
