The other day my wife was watching tv and suddenly

We have a Proscan PS61670 61 inch rear projection television. It was manufactured in 1997.

The other day my wife was watching tv and suddenly it powered down on it's own. I tried turning it back on with zero success. The television attempts to power up (3 times to be exact everytime you hit the power button), which you can hear but the television screen remains completely black.
Also previous to this issue when the television was run for a certain amount of time the picture would concave and the red, blue, and green would seperate. If I turned the tv off and then back on it would go right back to normal.

What is going on?

HELP!!

Ur convergence is dying or well be dead.3D pics or shutdown.U must know how to solders? The parts in convergence board must change like ICS,and all it resistors.The websites Tv Repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com for the convergence kit.The shop will cost u $300 for parts and labors.

I have a 50 inch proscan and it just beeps but will not come on how can i fix it

I suspect wrong model number is listed here as this set makes no beep at turn on; older set made around 2000 but if it is your model here is some information to look at.

I have a older proscan rear projection.. 60" .. the other day it worked fine and went to turn it on and it sounds like it turns on but does not it clicks but will not turn on . but was fine the day before

Tv will not stay on Proscan PS52690

power supply probably needs to be rebuilt, vertical IC some filters,probably a couple of transistors. best to have an experienced tech do it for you.

Issue is with main tuner since you have two of them. At least the tv is ok but that tuner is fubar.

I HAVE A 80 INCH PROSCAN REAR PROG TV AND THE ON/OFF SWITCH WILL

it sounds like the main power supply. unfortunately spare parts are no longer available for this model
