No sound from PC after disconnecting all internal cables.

I have a V2 premier PC with a P4VXMS motherboard. I had to disconnect all cables to get to microprocessor to install cooling paste. In doing so, I must have disconnected the internal speakers/all speakers. Cannot get sound even with external speakers connected. Help!!!

You may need to confirm the Jumpers are correct for the audio. See Page 28 and 29 of the Manual for the schematic. You can download the manual here to see the pictures http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=60&DetailName=Manual&DetailDesc=&CategoryID=1&MenuID=6&LanID=0

Do you have a sound card installed, like in a PCI slot or something? It may have got knocked out of the slot. Try re-seating the sound card and see if this helps. Try testing the output with headphones that don't need a power source, and make sure you are plugging the cord in the right jack.

I have a V2 premier computer and I want to do a factory reset how do I do that

So a V2 looks to be a mix match of parts. Most factory resets are done from a F key pre OS boot. When the pc starts up and you see the logo screen "splash screen" of the motherboard manufacture or Bios screen if thats disabled look to the bottom right hand corner. It should display to hit F10 F11 or F12 to go to restore.

Cpu didnot run ,i cant find any signel on my cpu every thing is ok but there is a problems in motherboard what should i do ?

A) With great tact and diplomacy;
Do not refer to a Personal Computer as a CPU.

CPU = Central Processing Unit.
Another term is Microprocessor, or simply Processor for short.
CPU = Processor

B) Because of the method you used to refer to the Computer, I do not know if you're talking about; the PROCESSOR did not start, or the Computer.

C) If I we are to believe this is a reference to the Computer;

1) Check the Power Supply voltages,
OR
2) Substitute the Power Supply; with a KNOWN to be working, Compatible power supply, for a temporary test unit.

Why?
A) If ALL the LED lights were on at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.

B) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

C) A typical Processor can use 51 to 125 Watts of power.
Just depends on what Processor it is.

A Power Supply with a weak voltage power rail, will not have enough power to turn the Processor on.

However I am still confused by the statements;
1) "CPU did not run"

Does this mean the COMPUTER did NOT turn on, which implies the Power Supply did not turn on;

OR,

Does this mean LED lights came on, fans may be spinning, but Windows does not load?

2) "I can't find any signal on my Computer........"
Signal = Voltage.

To see if there were voltages going through the motherboard, you wouldn't be posting on here. You would know how to take a multimeter, and test them.

Means to me you see No Signal on the monitor.

D) Are you FOLLOWING Anti-Static Procedures?

E) Power Supply voltages prove to be good, or you are using a KNOWN to be good, Compatible power supply?

Disconnect EVERYTHING from the motherboard.

NO cables to the motherboard, EXCEPT the 24-pin ATX main power cable,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain24

[NOTE* Color of connector does NOT matter ]

,and the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atx12v4

Disconnect the data cable AT THE motherboard, for the Harddrive, and optical drive/s. (CD/DVD drive)
Disconnect the power cables to them also.

Disconnect ANY USB front panel cables.

LEAVE processor fan wire connected to motherboard.

You want the Processor, finned Heatsink sitting on it, and the Processor fan.
ONE stick of Ram Memory in Slot 1. (DIMM 1)

Leave graphics card in, IF used; or monitor is connected to the VGA port on the motherboard. (D-Sub connector)

Turn the Power Supply on.
You should be able to bring the BIOS Setup screen up.

If no, consider the motherboard to be bad.

Post back in a Comment, as to the information I need.
CPU = Processor
PC = Computer, or just use Computer.

I have a gateway 831gm. it has an Intel (Augsburg) 915G Motherboard and a Pentium 4 630 cpu 800MHz fsb & 2MB L2 cache. i've been looking for a cpu upgrade and saw that the Pentium E5200 Dual Core has...

If both motherboards are LGA775 socket, then the next concern is whether or not the case is capable of having the new motherboard installed into it. Disconnect all power cables to all dv drives or cd drives and hard drives. Disconnect all ribbons from drives to the mother board. If you can get to all of the screws that hold the motherboard into the case, you get away without removing drives. Once you've got the motherboard then you can disconnect the power cable from the motherboard. Remove the memory chips, disconnect the sound cable from the old motherboard. install the memory chips onto the new mobo, Connect the power cable to the new mobo, then install the new mobo into the case. Replace the ribbons from the drives to the mobo, replace the power cables to the drives and reinstall the sound cable to the cd or dv drive. You should be done now.

Sound does not work after xp reinstall. Could

Make sure the driver is functioning. Just because it's installed doesn't mean it's working. Pull up the device manager and make sure there are no yellow or red symbols.

Also, be sure that the "mute all" isn't enabled via the volume control.

My motherboard p4vxms is broken can i use another motherboard

You can install a new motherboard in your desktop case. The mounting holes and screws are standard and you need only move the screws to locations on the base to match the motherboard mounting holes.
