I have had 3 1050CC shavers all with the same problem. Apparently other models have the same issue. After about a year of use, the unit reverses after dipping the shaver into the cleaning solution for a second. Two were replaced by Philips within the 2 year warranty period. I still use the 3rd one. There are several things you can try. If the cleaning solution is low this will cause the shaver to reverse and not clean. Add more cleaning solution. I have noticed that sometimes I have to add more fluid to the unit after a week of use. Sometimes it is necessary to fill the solution a little above the max fill line. Be careful though. Filling it too much above the max fill line can cause cleaning fluid to run out of the bottom after a cleaning cycle. If the above two fixes don't work, then press the clean button and after the unit reverses back up, wait about 5 or 10 minutes and press it again and it should stay down as long as there is enough cleaning solution in the unit. If you wait too long or too little to press the button, it won't work. I have noticed if I press the button immediately after it reverses the same problem occurs. Also if I wait 30 minutes before pressing the button the same problem occurs. There must be some sort of timing cycle. You may have to repeat this process a few times to get it to stay down and clean. This is the only way I can get mine to clean now. Obviously something is getting dirty or wearing out over time in the cleaning system. Since I have had 3 shavers with the same problem, I know many others have had it too. Philips must be aware of the problem. It is frustrating that they don't offer help on their own website and consumers have to band together to solve problems that they should be solving. The two year guarantee is very generous, but there is a design flaw with this product.

I experienced exactly the same problem after my cleaning fluid ran low. To solve it take the top body off the reservoir and put it in the airing cupboard for a coupkle of days. I can only assume that the fluid got intot the electrics and that they need to be dried out.

Does the arcitec 1050cc come with a seperate charging stand as well as the jet clean device?

Originally, all Arcitec models came with a simple charging stand. That part is no longer available. If you need a simple charging method for your shaver, there is a charging/travel pod. It can be purchased at shaveroutlet.com at the link below

It does nto cut like it use to. The blade is only 6 months old Whats the best way to clean it. It seem to be cutting with only 1 of the triple head

The Arcitec shavers have a poor design which makes it difficult to clean well. The blades can not be removed from their combs, therefore, the only way to clean this is by running them in a cleaning solution. Norelco makes a shaver cleaned that can be used for this. It is available from shaveroutlet.com at the link below. Rubbing alcohol can also be used.

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-accessories/norelco-hq200-smart-touch-jet-clean-solution-p-258.html

Simply fill a container about 1 inch deep with the cleaner and then stick the shaver head down into the liquid with it running. Run for several seconds, remove and repeat several times.

Note that if your shaver is badly clogged, this still may not work that well due to the poor design of the shaver heads. If you require replacement, you will also find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Lost directions on how to use jet clean system. Do not know how to use it.

Visit this site below and enter your product number. If you don't have your product number or it doesn't appear, then type in "jet clean" then scroll down and click on personal care. You can then click on a jet clean model and then open the .pdf of the manual. The instructions should be similar. There is nothing to using it. Fill the reservoir with jet clean solution to the max line. Put the shaver in the cradle heads down and press the button on the front of the cleaning base. If it doesn't stay down and clean you may have another problem. If so, then search "Norelco Arcitec Electric Shaver with Jet Clean" on this site and you can find answers to your problems.

My razor blade heads no longer rotate but when removed the mechanism underneath is spinning normally - the razor is clean and fully charged.

It sounds like your heads are damaged and need replaced. You can not repair theheads if damaged. You will find replacements for Arcitec shavers at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Cleaning the blades of my Electric razor

The smell that you are noticing is a mixture of decomposing skin particles, skin oil and hair. This is because you are not getting the blades clean enough.
Philips (Norelco) has been introducing all of their shaver with the ability to clean them with water, however, this is not a very good way to clean them because the oil in your skin that collects on the blades does not easily clean out with water. If you must clean with water, make sure the water is as hot as will come out of your faucet. A better way to clean it is with rubbing alcohol because it works better and will help kill germs which may cause smell.
Of course, the best way to clean the shaver heads is to remove them individually and brush them out thoroughly. However, Philips made it impossible to remove the blades on the Arcitec models. The Arcitec modelsare simply designed very poorly for cleaning.

If you are unable to thoroughly clean the heads, you may elect to replace them. It is suggested that they be changed every 12 months. You will find replacement heads at shaveroutlet.com. See link below
