no, the problem is that I just bought this shaver and havent used it yet, should i just return it bc its batteries are probably worth more or close to the same amount as the shaver

Same thing happened to my Braun trimmer. The internal batteries only have a certain rechargeable lifespan and then need to be replaced.

Can you take it apart and see what the battery voltage is and see what the ma (milliamp) rating is? Also battery size (length, width & diameter)?

With that information, we can probbaly find you a replacement battery. I did for my Braun and its as good as new now.

Good luck!

Shaver gets hot to the touch when it is charged and ready to use this is a braun 549 series and it just started doing this

Batteries that get hot when charging usually indicate that they are needing replaced. I would guess that your shaver no longer holds a charge as long as it should

You will find compatible batteries for model 7526 at See link below. You will need to order two

See the installation tip on the item page.

You will also find a video that shws how to disassemble the shaver at the link below

My toshiko trimmer is not getting charged, even after charging for 6 hrs it works hardly for 5 seconds and stops.what should i do?

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like the batteries won"t take a charge anymore. Refer to the Toshiko website at for battery replacement, however at times the batteries cannot be replaced as they are attached to a circuit board and, you"d need to replace the shaver.

This model is several years old...probably about 7 years old and the battery is probably dead from age. The easiest fix is to purchase one of the items linked below from

Just bought braun 8585 electric shaver, return it to the store as nothing happens while charging. Got a new one and still not able to charge it, shouldn't the indicator turn red or green? nothing happens....

Did you insert a cartridge into the cleaning base? It needs that in order to work. Otherwise, try plugging the charger directly into the shaver. It should definitely charge the shaver, as long as the shaver is fine. Depending on the model, the charging indicator may be green or blue.
