Mario all stars colour problem

My snes plays all other games fine except all stars. The background colour goes black. The foreground displays ok except world three where all the water is black. Any ideas?

I recently got a pal-region snes off ebay with mario all-stars - it works perfectly fine, there is a display on the screen and the game is playable, but all of the graphics are jumbled up with random glitchy objects all over the place. It is always the same every time I turn the machine on. I have tried cleaning the cart with moist cottonbuds and the system's cart reader as well, I tried to change the TV i was playing on, but it always looks the same.

I got some of the same problem, when i start pilotwings the graphics also show random objects, i think its only the 3D FX in the game the 2D puppet for example is displayed well.
(sorry for my english, its a while ago)
With mariocart the when race starts the drivers grid is displayed normal, but the track is screwed somehow.

When I play The Lost Levels the backround flickers black, this also happens on ever water stage in all the all-stars games.

Maybe the intenal part inside of the gamepack could have gotten busted by now or its a crappy gamepack that was purchased so buy one that actuallys works and through this one out.

If it is a pal region model and you are in america you might need a step up or step down transformer, my friends ps2 had this once but it could get no power

Hi i just got a fc twin and i am trying to get a nes mario/ duckhunt game to go in and i cant figure it out.. i have other games but they wont go in eaither

The front slot is made for NES games such as mario/duckhunt, and the back slot is made for SNES games. Make sure you put them in the right direction as well.

Good Luck,

Only a few games work

The fact that any games work probably indicates the power supply is ok. The most likely cause of this problem is dirty game contacts. You can check this by the old blow on it trick. If you can get any of them to work by blowing into the contact area on the cart the game needs to be cleaned. A Q-tip dampened (not wet) with alcohol is the the easiest way to clean them. Keep at it with new Q-tips until they come out clean.

The reason blowing on games makes them work is because your breath is moist and the moisture helps make better contact.
