Question about Panasonic BL-C30A Network Camera

Cannot register 2nd BLC30a with viewnetcam.com

I got my first blc30a registered with viewnetcam OK months ago. The second one won't register and I dont know why. I have added user defined apps to my broadband modem to open the port to the one the camera needs, disabled the McAfee firewall temporarily and even end tasked on McAfee. It always says;

"failed to access test from the internet"

The camera works fine locally using ethernet cable or wireless link. Should I return it? Is the viewnetcam.com service not working?

RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING INFO FROM A PANASONIC REP IN TORONTO PERTAINING TO SETTING UP A SECOND CAMERA:
"THE FIRST CAMERA MUST NOT BE AT ADDRESS XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.253 (EXAMPLE 192.168.1.253). DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SETTING UP THE SECOND CAMERA:
1. CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS OF THE FIRST CAMERA THROUGH STATIC SETUP (EXAMPLE 192.168.1.252)
2. DISCONNECT THE FIRST CAMERA FROM THE NETWORK PRIOR TO SETTING UP THE SECOND CAMERA. (THE FIRST CAMERA WILL GRAB A NEW ADDRESS THROUGH DHCP THE NEXT TIME IT IS CONNECTED).

THE REASON FOR DOING ONE OF THE ABOVE IS THAT THE FIRST CAMERA IS PROBABLY STILL AT AN IP ADDRESS ENDING IN 253. A NEW OR FACTORY RESET CAMERA WILL WANT TO GRAB THE SAME ADDRESS AND CAUSE AN IP CONFLICT ON YOUR NETWORK.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

My phone display's No link to base. Reconnect main bas AC adapter. It is plugged in what now?

I had this problem, and I fixed it by re-registering the phone to the base. Here are the directions for how to do that from the manual:

----->

Registering a handset to the
base unit
The supplied handset and base unit are
pre-registered. If for some reason the
handset is not registered to the base
unit, re-register the handset.
1 Handset:
{MENU}
2 {V}/{^}: "Initial setting"
{OK}
3 {V}/{^}: "Registration"
{OK}
4 {V}/{^}: "HS registration"
{OK}
5 Base unit:
- KX-TG4011 series:
Press and hold {LOCATOR} for
about 5 seconds. (No registration
tone)
- KX-TG4021/KX-TG4071 series:
Press and hold {LOCATOR} for

about 5 seconds until the
registration tone sounds.
If all registered handsets start
ringing, press the same button to
stop. Then repeat this step.
The next step must be completed
within 90 seconds.
6 Handset:
Press {OK}, then wait until a long
beep sounds.
Note:
While registering, "Base in
registering mode" is displayed on
all registered handsets.
When you purchase an additional
handset, refer to the additional
handset's installation manual for
registration.

My Siemens gigaset A 490 cordless phone is showing Register HS what i have to do pl advise

To register the Gigaset handset, you need to have the handset near the base. Press and hold the Register/Paging button on the base for 3+ seconds (it's hidden by the handset when on the base). A shorter press of the button will activate the Paging feature. Then within 60 seconds of pressing the Register button on the base, press Menu and select Settings. Press OK and go to Handset. Press OK and then select Register HS. Enter the base PIN (default is 0000) and then press OK. (Use the up/down arrows to navigate the menus.) You will see Registering flash on the display of the handset for approximately 1 minute while the registration is processed.

The manual for the Gigaset A490 is available here: http://gigaset.com/medias/sys_master/A31008-M2200-R301-2-3S19_en-fr-es_USA_CAN.pdf . If you need it in another language (or country), start here: http://gigaset.com/hq/en/product/GIGASETA490.html?tab=manuals .

I hope this helps.

How to configure the UPNP in panasonic camera?If we need access from the internet should we register in viewnet.com?

To access your camera from the Internet you will need to configure uPnP (or configure port forwarding manually) and register with some kind of dns service like viewnetcam (or know your home's external IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider).

1. To configure uPnP on your camera, look in the network settings for an automatic network configuration option - this will trigger the camera to talk to your router using uPnP to set up port forwarding. The default for one camera is to use port 80 for the outside port and something like 192.168.1.253 for the internal network address (internal to your home only). uPnP will try to configure the second and third cameras to external ports 50000 or 50001. My router failed to configure the 3rd camera so I had to manually add a port forwarding option from my router's admin pages. To note, you can configure all port forwarding manually from within the router admin pages. Just list the internal network address to your camera (like 192.168.2.253) and specify a different port for each camera (like 50000 to 50000). You can then access your camera by typing in 192.168.2.253:5000

2. Then, you should register with viewnetcam.com. Adding your cameras on viewnetcam will give you access to them from outside your house without you having to know the IP address to your home network. You will simply type in your viewnetcam url with ":" and the port number (like username.viewnetcam.com:50000).

Note: When trying to access your camera from outside your home (or even pinging your router from outside your home), you need to know the IP address of your home. This is assigned by your Internet Service Provided and can change every time you reboot your modem. Services like viewnetcam keep track of the IP address to your home and update it automatically when it changes (your camera will communicate with Viewnetcam servers occasionally to update the IP address). All you have to remember is one constant URL (the viewnetcam url) and you can get to your cameras!

I have 2 problems. I just bought a new HP Photosmart6250 and during the registration it said I already have a password. I tried to type what I thought it was and it wasn't so I hit forgot password. After...

Hi Meg,

as far as the printer registration, there are several things you can do. You can go directly to https://register.hp.com/americas/flowPage/registration/index.do?cc=US&lang=en to register your product. Once the product is registered, even if the software automatically reminds you to register later, you can just click cancel and "do not show again".

Second, most of the time, HP has "product registration" as a menu item after the software is installed on your computer.

Click on start, all programs, then choose the HP program, then the printer, then product registration.

As far as the second problem, if you registered the other printer, you can check the status of your that item from this link. https://register.hp.com/americas/flowPage/userHub/index.do

then, under the " I am a returning user " section, enter your user ID, or click on "forgot your user id?" link. enter the email address you would have used to register it, and they will email you your User ID. Same thing for the password.

Please take a moment to rate this solution, and thank you for using "Fixya" :)
