If you payed the warranty like for 2 or 4 years, you could bring it back to them and they will change it for you. but if you didn't pay it you just have to describe for me your problem and i will solve it

I just got a brand new Satellite Toshiba touch screen laptop yesterday for chritmas and its plugged in and charged over night but wont turn on unless its plugged in. Is this temporary? or is something

As long as the charge is not complete the battery LED remains amber.
Give the laptop the time to charge: it should take 3 to 4 hours it it is not being used, and 3 times longer if it is used.
You do not need to register immediately with Toshiba.

NEW Battery not properly charging

Batteries have electronics data that software has to get to properly charge it. Newer lithium batteries maybe different. But apparently, you have a work around for a lengthy use of the new battery.

My gateway M-7031U stops charging at 30%

Unfortunately your battery is probably shot. First though, try to run the battery down until the laptop dies. Now with the discharged battery, and the laptop powered off, plug it in and leave it off for a few hours. Power the laptop back on and check the charge level. Still at 30%? Then the battery is very likely just bad. Unfortunately, the cells in the battery just simply die for a number of reasons, and capacity is lost. This is why most manufactures will only warranty a battery for 1 year.

Take the battery out and write down the model number and the "MAh" or "Ah" number. The MAh number represents the capacity of the battery. The higher this number, the generally longer the laptop runs on battery. Go to http://gateway.shopbysystem.com/gateway-m-7301u-notebook-accessories.html and verify that this is your laptop model. This is a Gateway authorized reseller. Looks like they want $90 for a small battery. Take your battery model number and go to Amazon and look up the battery there. Make sure it's MAh number matches or exceeds what is on your battery. Usually you can get a replacement battery from Amazon for about $20 less than Gateway.

Gateway mt6728 doesn't switch on and the red led

Sounds like it needs a new power source or motherboard. Since it is immediately turning off after the red lights then it's probably a hardware problem since there is no time for the software to do anything.

Hi I have a gateway mt6728 and when I start up i get 2 options start windows normally or start launch repair. Both options bring me to a screen that says Gateway please wait and it just stays like that....

sounds like windows is not loading properly. try taking out the hard drive. disconnect everything. plug it all back in and try again. This might work.
