To use as a second monitor follow the steps below,
You may have to configure your laptop video settings.
1.Connect your computer to the VSX 3000 system as shown on the setup
sheet that came with the VSX 3000 system.
2. Press the Input button on the front of the VSX 3000 system to toggle
between displaying content from the computer and showing video from
the video conferencing system.

You can connect a monitor to your laptop if it has a vga adapter/HDMI output on a separate graphics card (as opposed to a motherboard mounted "on board" graphics solutions) ...but I havn't heard of connecting your laptop to another computer input to use it as another monitor. Far as I know that is not possible...unless you have a very special laptop. You could, theoretically, remote connect to another computer, then you could have that computer's display on the 2nd computer...You would have to make sure "no interaction" was selected though, or someone on the laptop could access the other computer, and do whatever to it. I think Teamviewer may do it...Crossloop you need to have someone on both machines I believe. But it doesn't sound like remote connection is the solution you are asking for. What you are asking for, isn't done. (typically)
