How do change spark plugs on a 1998 xj8

Remove plastic cover over the engine ( three screws).
You then have access to the front three spark plugs (cylinders 1,3,5) remove the nut which holds down the independant coils and remove the spark plugs, fit new spark plugs and fit coils on the three front cylinders.
Now it gets a little tricky, you will only be able to access number 2 back cylinder so you have to remove the induction manifold (12 bolts I think) to access the back three cylinders (2,3,6,) properly.
Then proceed as with the front three spark plugs, refit manifold and plastic cover,

remove the plastic cover on top of the engine, you will see 4 small like square boxes set in the center of the motor, thats your coil which set on top of the spark plugs. remove that coil and you will see the plugs. this car does not have any plug wires, that what probably see a bit confusing...hope that help
