Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 Front Load Washer/Dryer
My washing machine as above is holding up water, makes an uncommon sound i.e grinding noise and smells like there is some rubber burning.I figured out that if I use the rinse and spin option it might do the trick. It did spin but when it came to to the final spin the above keeps on happening and the reduce creases, mini load as well as the on/off button starts to blink. The pump out option did not work as well ......btw I can even open the door to take out my soaked washing ... i guess it is because it is still filled with water ..?
Sounds like the water pump is plugged with something. The pump could also just be locked up. The smell is probably the belt slipping on the pulley. To drain the unit you will need to lower the drain hose into a bucket and let it drain that way. Most pumps can be opened and cleaned. It will be inside and attached to the drain hose. It has a pulley on it where the belt rides. If it has a clamp holding the bottom on remove it and the clog. You may be able to do this without removing it from the unit. Let me know if you need further help.
