I have had my Indesit W123 for about 5 years now, and have had no bother with it up until now. On a 90 hot wash the front of the dispenser drawer melts and is now warped..... surely a machine that is designed to do 90 washes should be able to withstand the temperature of this wash.
What can i do? Or where can i get a new dispenser drawer from that is reasonably priced?

Re: w123 dispenser drawer keep melting
Hi there you can order the part from indesit and should not cost alot and yes it should withstand the temp check that if you are using the hot tap to the machine turn down the water thermostat as maybe too hot.

Disconnect first the mains, power plug off the wall. You could have a clog in your soap drawer; pull the dispenser drawer completely out. There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer to remove. Clean the soap drawer with an old tooth brush. The usual block could be old soap, softener, etc. (you could also be using too much soap powder). I usually use just above 125ml (my measure cup says ml, I use front loader powder for the 5.5kg load) The wash is very gud. This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.
Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Next could be one of hoses has become loose, should be re-fixed. Examine by removing top of the front loader; this will give you a gud view of the pipes.
you have a faulty water valve turn the cold water off at the main see if the water is still dripping in if it is it will be the hot water valve replace faulty valve they are fairly cheap to buy best to replace both piece of mind you can buy them on line and are easy to replace euro spares will have them if you still need help let me know.
Blocked siphon tube from conditioner segment or blocked hose from dispenser to drum. Pull dispenser drawer out and clean in the hole where it comes out from. Then regularly do a hot wash without using any detergent or conditioner
Pull the drawer out as far as it will come and then grasping it firmly, give it a good tug towards you, this will free the drawer to enable you to thoroughly clean every piece of it, particularly the conditioner parts of it.
Get a piece of wire with a bend on the end, and poke it in to all the holes in the top of the dispenser compartment, this will clera any blockages there.

If it takes it down sometimes, then the way to see if it is working, is to do the following test.
Remove the dispenser drawer from the washer, and fill the compartment with clean water until it starts to overflow, turn the water off and the water in the dispenser should continue to run out until it is empty, if it does not, then it is blocked.
If this is o/k ,then the prob is elwsewhere.

pull drawer out towards you, untill it comes to a stop.!push down plastic tab and pull the rest of the way out, some dispensers have to be lifted and pulled at the same time.wash it then with hot water! take apart softener compartment to clean, makeing sure small hole is free!!!close eire
