Question about HP Officejet Pro L7580 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Print order I cannot get the print order to work. I need "front to back" printing for my accounting program (Peachtree) and even when I set the printer to this in printing preferences, it still prints back to front. Software has been uninstalled and reinstalled, still does not work. A lot of checks are being voided because they are printed wrong!

I already thought of that, it didn't work. Thanks so much though for your response. I am about ready to pull my hair out, and the HP techs aren't a lot of help.

Hi,I was working for HP as Sr. tech support for All in One
printer Department, newly joined at Fixya to test my
technical skills.

I have came across this issue Several times.By default if "FRONT TO BACK" is selected, try selecting the other option "BACK TO FRONT" in the printing preferences. It worked for 98% of the customers.ill be waiting for the response.

Thank you.

Photos are printing predominantly in yellow with most programs however microsoft office 2000 seems to work ok, i am running windows 7

In order to find the solution faster please try the computer hooked up to an alternate printer(take it to work and print there or a friends) OR get another computer and print to the printer. If the printer still prints out mostly yellow then their is a problem with the printer. If it prints out fine then we need to check the settings on your applications. Comment back and i will provide more help!

Print is encrypted, nothing is readable.

If you are printing it from online, try copy and pasting the content to Word or Excel and print from there.

ES 5300 only prints left side

From the program you print the document (MS Word, Acrobat Reader or another one?) go to File and select the Print... or Print Properties option (depending on what program you print from). Then, go through the option and look for an option that says something like "Print Odd Pages" or Print Even Pages". As you're describing the situation, it seems that either the program you use, or the printer control panel, is set to print only odd or only even pages. So you'll need to find this setting and switch to Print All Pages or something along those lines. The labels and wording of these settings depend on the program you want to print from, so expect that you'll need some looking around to do before you find this setting.

Printed copy in correct page order- HP officejet 6110

Hi :)

This may work and its only a few simple clicks :) but it will take less time then re ordering you pages :)

IN the printer settings or Print preferrences there should be a tab for "Advanced settingings"

Go to Control Panel and select "Printers"
Select the general tab and at the bottom of the window select "PRINTING PREFERENCES"
another window will open
from here select the Advanced tab
Find Layout Options in the list
click it you should see "Page Order" and a drop down menu for front to back or back to front.
switch it to whatever order it is that you need and test it out.

or if that doenst work try this:

Set the most frequently used copy settings as the default. This includes changes to Copy Setup options in the menu system, as well as other front panel copy settings.
  1. Make any desired changes to the copy setup from the menu or the front panel copy option.
  2. Press Menu .
  3. Press 1 , then press 4 . The settings are now saved.

these are the only ways I have found to correct the problem.

Will not print A4

Go through the paper settings on the front panel of the printer and ensure the paper trays are set to "Plain A4".
I usually set "override A4/Letter = Yes" too as many programs / documents / PDFs assume US Letter size.

Not working dtc550

Since the printer prints the test page from the driver, most likely the problem is with your Cardfive software. To test this, try printing a card on the printer from Microsoft Word or Notepad. Just remember to set your page size or you will get multiple cards printed. The Fargo printer is just a windows printer and may receive output from any windows software.

Printing out of order

Hi,

A couple of things you can try:
1. If you are using MS Word, try to check (or uncheck) "Collate" when you click on the File/Print command;
2. In your printer Properties/Setup/Configuration, see if you have Options or Extra settings where you can change the Output Options (Normal, Reverse All Pages, Print Odd Pages, Print Even Pages). Determine which will work to your preference.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
