It is likely to be either the circulation fan in the freezer or the defrost element. The cold air is blown from the freezer into the fridge if the fan doesn't work then no cold in fridge( actually I think there are 2 fans in these, 1 horizontal 1 vertical) otherwise it could be a defrost problem, if the element doesn't work the rear fills up with ice and the air cant flow. Both are behind the rear panel of the freezer
We experienced a smilar problem with your Fisher & Paykle fridge/freezer.
The fan that sends cold air to the Fridge section of the appliance didnt appear to be working leaving the Fridge poorly cooled.
I suggest the first step is to turn the fridge off and leave it to totally defrost.
Build up in ice in the freezer section seemed to have an impact on the proper operation of the fan which seems to relie on a thermostat for its operation.
Having defrosted and cleaned the fridge the problem was solved.
The fans have a delay before switching on after the door is closed. Place a magnet over the door sensor switch and wait to see if the fan works.
The problem could be that the unit has iced over itself over a period of time and defrosting it could solve the problem.
Hi Do you have any ice cream in the freezer? If it is soft than the freezer is also too warm. If you do not have icecream then you will need a thermometer to check freezer temps. Freezer needs to be 10 degrees F or colder down to -10. fridge should be 34-38... Sometimes freezer temps can seem cooler than they are with out a thermometer to test it. Also look for frosting up inside the freezer. Check that your door seals are in good condition. check that doors are closing completely. Please let me know If I can help further.
A bad thermostat. Your cooling is out of control it is the thermostat that controls the frig. The thermostat is behind the knob that lets you turn up or down the temp. Most of the time two screws to take loose behind the knob. It should just pull off.
To solve this problem, you must open the compressor area at the back bottom of the refrigerator and chek the temperature of the pressure line. If the temperature is between 55celcius to 60 than its ok. Or else you need to change the refrigerant.
I suggest you to contact the service authority.
