Try reinstalling the CD software program.

Normal 0 Disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Hello,
First off, try going to BIOS. Usually you have to tap either F2 or Delete on dell computers while booting up to enter BIOS. If you're successful, and you're in BIOS, observe for a few minutes if it will freeze while in BIOS. If it doesn't then you might need to reinstall windows. If it freezes in BIOS as well, then there's a hardware malfunction/problem. That will be the time to have a technician check the hardware on your desktop.

Mouse freezes

If it is wireless try putting in some new batteries and moving the receiver to a different USB port. You could also try moving or disabling any other wireless equipment nearby to see if that could be causing it.

If it is a wired mouse try a different USB port, making sure it is plugged in directly rather than into a USB hub, re-installing the driver and rebooting the PC. With more information I could help further.

Why does my cursor freezes it does it for about 20 minutes and starts again for abit

HI:
There could be a number of problems why this is happening, first try replacing the mouse itself, this may be the primary problem, second try defragmenting the harddrive to clean up the deleted file holes. If you have a system diagnostisc program run a test on the mouse to see if it gives you any errors. Also try updating the mouse driver of your manufactor. But I suggest investing in a new mouse. If this is a laptop then the mouse pad may be intermittenly causing you some problems, try using a external mouse like a USB type and see if the problem persists.

Freeze mouse and nothings I can do with the pc.

I had this problem and it was due to my usb ports not providing enough juice. You can try a powered usb hub and see if that fixes ya. Pick one up at Best buy for about $15-$20.

My apple mighty mouse works for a few minutes and then it just freezes up and I can't do anything. I have restarted the computer and all of that but is still freezes up after a few minutes of use.

Try hitting your capslock key (which will light up) or command-tab (which will switch between applications) to see if the keyboard and computer are still responding when this happens. If so, it sounds like the mouse or the USB port it is connected to may unfortunately be failing.
Also, try connecting the mouse to another USB port as others have suggested, either on the keyboard or computer itself, as this will help you determine if the failure is in the mouse or port.
