Question about Graphics Cards

780i with two 8800GTX's in SLI mode. What bridge and setup do I use?

I have the EVGA 780i 3 way sli mobo. I just put two 8800GTX 768mb cards in it. But the only sli bridge that will fit is the 3 way bridge. Do I a: move the second card down to the no. 3 card spot which is empty and use the 2 way connector. Or b: use the 3 way connector which fits and let the extra connection on the brige just hang there. Will it work that way? I need help on this. This is the only thing keeping me from turning my new PC on.

It should work if you leave the 3-way on with 1 dangling. You won't fry your PC if it doesn't work, so no worries on that. Try it. Let us know!

Sli will not activate....... Vista 64 ultimate , 6 gigs of ram, 2 xfx 9400gt 1gig, amd phenom quad 2.5 , asus m2n sli deluxe

Hello raidon1449
Have you accessed BIOS(startup and start tapping F2) to see if SLI and not PCIexpress is selected?
The best thing that I can recommend with any SLI or Crossfire setup is to install the cards seperately at first to make sure they are working by themselves. Then install the cards in SLI or Crossfire configuration.

Will this video card work on this motherboard?

Yes, it will work but you need a PSU that is more then 500 WATTS , I recommend Apex or ICEBERG PSU, other then that you should be okay. Make sure you download the latest bios upgrades and also make sure you hvae pleanty of cooling fans.

Can I run two EVGA GeForce 260 GTS cards in crossfire on an ASUS Rampage MOBO?

This is an excellent question, basically "Can you run two Nvidia cards on a cross fire motherboard in a SLI configuration". My first thought was "No" but you should be able to still run a single Nvidia card.

From everything that I have collected the above is correct. Here is a reputable site that you can trust which has a spill on whether you can do this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/246903-33-nvidia-graphics-card-crossfire-motherboard

Graphics card no display, not recognised

Hi DarkPredUK.
You need to check you're bios. (See below).
The PCI-E card (Single video card) must be placed into slot, PCIEX16_1 as shown on page 2-3 & 2-18 in you're user manual. The bios must be set correctly as seen on page 4-26 to PCI-E first. You must have two PCI-E cards installed to run SLI mode. (They must be exactly the same graphic cards).
Asus M2N-E SLI main web site/drivers, manual ect.

Good luck DarkPredUK.

NX7800GTX-VT2D256E and MSI K8N Neo4/SLI

What's the specs on your power supply. For SLI you need a good quality 500W+ PSU with lots of current on the 12V rails. Remember that all the drives, memory, fans, cpu, etc will use a lot of power, if there is not enough capability in your PSU, the voltage may drop low enough to stop it starting up.
