Please, if you have or know where i can get a tripod for the Tasco 30675 (675X60mm) do tell! I have had this telescope for years, and now that "Accross the Universe" is being broadcast across the universe, I would like to keep up with it.

1. Make sure the center of the TUBE is over the center of the tripod. With that scope and shaky tripod-- it is better NOT to fully extend the tripod legs. Part of the problem is the very light tripod being sold with this scope.
I would encourage you to find a local Astronomy club and attend their meetings and star parties. Then you will be able to see the scopes that they use and be better informed when you buy your next telescope.
You can contact Tasco directly through their web site, tasco.com. Depending on the specific Luminova model, virtually identical models are offered by Celestron and Meade. In any event, you should be able to get the replacement yoke directly from Tasco. Give them a call at (800) 423-3537and I would think that their customer service department will be happy to help you out. Replacing the yoke is pretty easy to do.
