Fridge ok - no freezer

we have a hotpoint side by side fridge (#hss221fmaww) with ice maker. fridge side works fine - freezer side is warm, no water/ice from dispenser. when pushing dispenser lever, a "click" is heard somewhere towards rear of machine.
