Hi,

The light on the mouse should be on even when it is not connected. Check the batteries and make sure they are installed correctly. If the batteries are good, in the right way, and you still do not get the light, you are probably going to need a new one.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Your computer also has a connect button. If it is a USB optical mouse, you must push the connect button on the receiver that is plugged into the USB port as well as the mouse (and keyboard if it's all a set) If the mouse receiver is in the PC, like some Sony's...look around for the real tiny reset button..it's there somewhere.

Hello, have you tried changing the batteries in your mouse? They are probably dead or dying and that is why it is not working. Also, try restarting the computer. If you cannot even use a regular wired usb mouse, there may be something going on. Try changing the batteries, restarting the computer, and using a regular usb and a regular PS/2 mouse.

GE Mini Mouse 98563

Hi, I had the same problem. The USB device has what appears to be a circle with dots connected to it facing the port. The dots are actually the word "Connect" in infintessimally small letters. Plug it in, then use your thumb to press down on the circle while using another finger to press up on the device's underside - in effect, squeeze it between your fingers where the circle is. You'll see a red light blink. At that point you can push the "connect" button on your mouse and it will work.

My mouse has quit working. Does it have a battery to replace or something? Do i need to replace the mouse?

If your mouse was working and suddenly stopped, the first thing to do is replace the battery (or batteries). Then push the button on the bottom that is labeled "connect."
That should do it.
Oh, yes--there could be a connect button on the mouse antenna unit, too--the one that plugs into the comptuer.

Left mouse button all of the sudden stopped working

check all connections and restart computer. The p.o.s.t. will sometimes correct the problem. if not inspect the mouse physically and be sure all is well. It could be a switch inside the mouse if so simply take it apart carefully and check.if you have another mouse try it and see if it works this will let you know if it is your mouse or your computer. To test the bad mouse use it on another computer and see if it operates there.

MU203 mouse not working

Replace the batteries and try this.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Keyboard not responding

Solution. My wireles keyboard stopped working except for the F-Lock key, the Media key and the sleep key. It wasn't batteries, even though I tried, communication was there because the above keys were working. Remove the batteries from your keyboard and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Press the red connect button a few times and other various keys every few minutes during that time. This may be the whole "capacitor discharge" trick, but I tired that with someone elses instructions and my keyboard did not work after 2 minutes of key pressing. I think it just needed more time to clear out the secure settings. Good luck, I was about to trash this keyboard until I tried again
