I had the same problem it ended up being something with the bulbs it cost me 130.00 to fix it but I haven't had any problems with the tv since and its been 2 years.

NEED SOME TECH EXPERIENCE ON THIS--- UNPLUG THE TV,,,I REPEAT ,UN PLUG THE TV FROM AC---TAKE THE BACK OFF--CHASE
THE CORD THAT GOES INTO TV AND YOU SHOULD SEE A SMALL 5 AMP FUSE IN A HOLDER,,CHECK TO SEE IS IT;S BLOWN--IF SO ,,REPLACE IT WITH"""THE SAME FUSE""""""""""" ,,AFTER REPLACING --REPLACE BACK OF SET ,,PLUG IN AND TURN POWER ON,,IF IT STILL DOES NOT COME ON --CALL A SERVICER,,,,,IF IT WORKS ,,,,,,,,,,,,,YOU OWE ME 35.00--HA!!!!!!!!!1
