You need always enough ink to keep this type of machine alive (printing fax, copy, scan). you have to replace the empty cart.

My Brother MFC Printer is printing a yellow line on every page I want to print, how do I stop from happening? I just purchased a new yellow cartage might the cartage be defective or did I installed it...

When ever asking a question you should provide the model printer you are using. This helps identify what type of printer (ink or laser), as each may have different problems.
A good testing on any MFC printer is to test post Printing and making a Copy of something and see if the problem occurs on both.
To answer your question, yes you could have received a defective cartridge. However if the problem occurred with the old and new cartridge then the cartridge is likely not the problem.

Cyan ink cartage does not work in epson t11 plz tell me what can i do. lllllll;htgg;lp gkjhjjhkljkljkljiokggyu0ijhgjhpjnp[to[otto

Jast push some ink through the print head plastic pipe.Take a seringe of full ink, put off all the ink cartrige, then set the seringe front hole on the cyan black pipe (that are usually set in side the cartrige). Then push cyan ink into the pipe.
After that, I think your printer would work again.
Thank you

Suspected clogged blue ink tube

most of the time, the print head need to be replaced for your case... but there are cases whereby it's the ink cart that causes the ink clogged.. you can try replacing the cyan ink and do another round of cleaning.. but chances are slim...

Brother MC420CN- Black ink cartidge 'near empty' message persists

At 1 of the end sides of the cartage you will see a little window, a beam of light hits that window to determine if you need Ink..Place a small piece of Electric tape over that window and.wallah print, fax and copy away. Brother is a ripoff-A cheap printer that auto-cleans(wastes ink) and locks the whole system claiming your out of Ink or low>>>But this is sure to work! ;)

My printer will not print jobs from computer , it will make copies and it will fax but when I click on the icon to print nothing happens. I just put a new ink cartage in. I tried the test page and it...

Right click on the printer icon in the Printer and Faxes menu. Make sure in the pop up box it says USE PRINTER OFFLINE. If it says USE PRINTER ONLINE, click on it and then try printing again. You may also want to double click on the printer icon and make sure there is nothing scheduled for printing. If there is, cancel it and try printing again. If that doesn't work, make sure you have the correct driver selected and it is connected to the right port.

Wont print with all new ink cartridges

If the error message is only "magenta/cyan low", it doesn't cause any error. The low message stays after replacing ink cartridges if they're replaced too early (before they're indicated as actually empty), it doesn't cause the printer to not work.
However, some other problem might be faulty, or there might be another error message. Try emptying printer queue and print from Ink Management -> Menu/set (twice) to check wether the problem is with communication from pc or if the printer actually is unable to print.

Printing when ink is low

The machine requires all color in order to print anything, even just black and white copies. You need to install a new cyan ink before it will print.

I Need to Print

Sadly in a word, 'No'.

Here is the exact answer from Brother:

Your Brother machine is designed to stop ALL printing operations
(printing from the pc, printing received faxes and printing copies or reports) when any of the ink cartridges are empty. This is to ensure the life of the print head and maintain premium print quality. If the unit were to continue printing, print jobs and cleaning cycles would suction air from the dry cartridge and damage the printhead. Even if you print in black only or change the print settings to MONO or GRAYSCALE to avoid printing in color, the programmed cleaning cycles would still suction the dry cartridge, because they are programmed to clean ALL the ink nozzles.

The only way to continue printing is to replace the empty ink cartridge or cartridges.

While memory is available, black and white faxes will continue to be received into memory. If a color fax is being received, the Brother machines HANDSHAKE will request the fax be sent as black and white fax.

All faxes received into memory will automatically print once the ink cartridge is replaced.

NOTE: Brother strongly recommends that customers do not use generic ink or refill their Brother ink cartridges. Using non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print quality and machine reliability since the ink formulation in genuine Brother ink cartridges prevent smearing and clogging of the print head. The Brother limited warranty does not apply to any problem that was caused by the use of unauthorized third party ink and/or cartridges.
