Question about Compaq Presario R3000 Notebook
I have a Compaq C300. I tried to find one on this forum, but had no luck. It won't power up. I've tried new AC adapters. I've checked the DC output. I've replaced semi conductors on the motherboard....and still nothing.
The lights flash for a second, and the fan kicks on...and then it just dies.
I've heard that the LCD screen has a glitch that may cause this...but I've heard it was RAM related.
I really hope there is a cheaper alternative than replacing the motherboard.
It's a $450 PC. Paying $300+ seems silly, but I don't want to have to BUY another PC.
Anyone able to help me?
I have 4 boards with this problem! Nothing burned on board (physicaly). I'll post a rely if ever find a solution!
