Question about Dryers

Electric dryer replaced two sensers in the dryer. Took the timer and buzzer in to be checked, they said ok. Problem is the dryer continues to run and not cut off?

Dryer won't shut off, the timer doesn't move. If you set it on "less dry", 4 hours later that is where it will still be and dryer continues to run until shut off manually.

I have a kenmore dryer model# 96580110, that only runs on one cycle. Every other cycle just buzzes continually like it's finished. And on that one cycle, the buzzer never goes off.

This is a sign of the timer going bad and it will need to be replaced. Here is a link to the new timer.

Here is a video to walk you thru the repair process. The model may be a little different but the process is the same.

Dryer won't stop at end of cycle , no buzzer or anything, just keeps running on all cycles, have changed timer

Unplug th dryer and check to see if the start switch is shorted. Remove switch and check for continuity between the two posts on the back of the switch. There should only be continuity when the switch is pushed in.

We have a 80 series elec. dryer, today when the end of cycle buzzer sounded, when door was closed again...buzzer continues to buzz. I can't find a part number, if the end of cycle buzzer needs replacing. ...

Push the timer to a definate off position. Close the door. If it buzzes then more than likely you are getting power from the timer which could mean short in the timer. If you have the model # the parts places can easily find your parts.

Matag performa dryer heats but won't tumble.

After checking the door switch and belt (both ok) I took the wires
from the thermal fuses-- straight wired them together and the dryer started working. I went to my local appliance center,
purchased the thermal fuse kit --replaced the old fuses--now it
runs great.
I hope this helps someone else with this problem.

GE Dryer doesn't give out heat.

OK, i would check the thermal fuse. is usually located on or around the blower housing. Check the vent duct if its not on the blower motor housing. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

If the fuse is OK, there is only one more problem spot and that will be the timer itself. replace the timer/control if the fuse is OK.

Dryer has no heat to it, but runs

Running is good. That means lots of stuff is working. On the motor is a switch that turns the heat on once the motor gets up to speed. The other wires on the motor are start and power for run. Check your heater elements for continuity. Running usually means the door switch is ok, timer ok. Check around for fuses, burnt wires, loose wires. Check the heat sensors for continuity. They should conduct electricity untit they get hot.

Maytag model

You really need a volt / ohm meter to check for Continuity & VoltsIts well worth the investment... $15.00 bucks give or take a few

I would check to see if you have 220v to back of dryer where the cord mounts to dryer,

If dryer is getting only 1 leg 110 volts instead of the 220 will it not heat.

Check themostates & heater for Continuity... Most models, Now have a.. Hi-limit fuses that need to be checked for Continuity they have to be replaced
