Problem with buttons on TV (by 4 users)

We have a 32 inch Ilo with a remote control and the only buttons that work are the on/off button on the remote and the TV, what is wrong and can it be fixed.? We have changed the batteries, still nothing. Can you help?

como que se blñoqueo la tele no ase ninguna funcion ni con el control ni manual se quedo en un canal y es el unico que se ve que es lo que puedo aser

My remote only tuns tv on and off. None of the other buttons work. The buttons on the tv set do ot work either. I have changed batteries in remote also but it still doesn't work.

My remote control will only turn television on and off. I have also tried the buttons on the television and they don't work either. Unable to access the menu to change settings to watch DVDs or videos. I have changed batteries in the remote but it still doesn't work.

replace infrared (IR) diode from remote control 100% working or sent me ur remote control i'll fixed for free..dont forget the fee for postage..my email add mandark_jeff@yahoo.com

I had the same problem. I took it to the local electronics repair store and they can fix it for $250. But the company that made the tv (32 in LCD), I believe it's Initial Electronics (1 800 216 5156) is a real pain to work with apparently. I call the repair shop every week to find out that the part Initial shipped to them was also defective. Also, next they sent the wrong board. Repair shop has had it for 2 months now. I bought my ILO in November of 06. It 'died' Dec. of 07. Just 1 week out of warranty and they wouldn't do a thing about it. I hope you have better luck than me, cause repair shop told me I shouldn't expect to see it for another week.
