Question about RCA D52W19 52" Rear Projection Television
You can change the HV splitter first,then change the flyback
transformer, if necessary.......Do be careful with part number
of transformer....check the drawing number on it ......10756 =
259296.......10799 = 265409......as examples..........
I can check on that for you based on your info................T.

Changed capacitor P150 I think (2200 uF Electrolytic) It was bulged and worked for two years. Just last night went out again and now I see an arc on the corner of my flyback transformer. ****!

I checked the capacitor and it had a slight bulge. My condition was that the tv became harder and harder to get to stay on. It would try 3 times to start up and one could hear the horizontal trying.
Changed the capacitor and it started up right away.
I have been fixing tv's for about 25 years actually having my own business for many years. I have learned that in a situation such as this, it is the heat from the heat sink that dries out the capacitor. So I mount it on the bottom side of the board. Just have to make sure that one mounts it properly and the leads or the cap don't short out! Hot glue it on.
Great site, thank you!
