If you put your SIM card in the phone, you should have your own account to use for the voice mail. If this is a pay as you go phone, you will have to get with the person from whom you bought it and get the password from them. If you call them, they'll probably change the password to something you would like.
The personal unblocking key (PUK) code and the universal personal unblocking key (UPUK) code (8 digits) are required to change
a blocked PIN code and UPIN code, respectively. The PUK2 code (8 digits) is required to change a blocked PIN2 code. If the codes
are not supplied with the SIM card, contact your local service provider for the codes.
No, you don't need any specific setting if your phone already unlocked. Are you sure your phone already unlocked? If not you need to unlock it first using samsung t309 network unlock code and your phone will accept your airtel sim card after you put samsung unlock code in that phone.
Cant you contact the person again? If yes, then ask him to remove the password. And please do not put yours as we all tend to forget them sooner or later.
If you can not contact him then the only answer is to get the firmware reinstalled. You will get lot of advices about using the IMEI number to undo the password, but believe you me, that there is no other way out. If you can not do it yourself then please visit the nearest LG Service Center and get it done from them.
