Complete information :
The SIM card protects your subscription and not the phone from unauthorised users. If you change SIM cards you can still use your phone with a new SIM card. Most SIM cards are blocked at the time of purchase. If your SIM card lock is on you have to enter your PIN (Personal Identity Card) every time you turn on the phone.

If you enter the wrong password three times in a row the SIM card gets blocked. This is indicated by the message PIN Blocked To unblock this you need to enter your PUK

Note:

card (Personal Unblocking Key). Your PIN and PUK is supplied by your service provider. You can edit your PIN and select a new four to eight digit number

  • If the Message Codes do not match appears when you edit your PIN you entered the new PIN incorrectly.
  • If the message Wrong PIN followed by Old PIN appears then it means that you have entered the old PIN incorrectly.

To unblock your SIM card:
  1. When PIN Blocked appears enter your PUK > OK
  2. Enter a new four to eight PIN > OK
  3. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm > OK

To edit your PIN:
  1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Change PIN
  2. Enter your PIN > OK
  3. Enter a new four to eight digit PIN to confirm > OK

To turn the SIM card On /Off
  1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Protection and select On or Off
  2. Enter your PIN > OK

It is asking for a PUK code after i put in the phone unlock code. Wat is the PUK code

PUK stands for Pin Unblocking Key,this PUK code is used if wrong PIN (Personal Identification Number)code is entered for several try's.It means if you enter PIN for more than 3x,the simcard will be blocked and ask you to enter the PUK code as what is explain above.

Usually this PUK code is on the package together with your simpack when you bought it. in your phone case, you need to enter the PUK code to unblock the PIN so you can access the simcard data's and features, otherwise,if you lost your PUK code, just contact your service provider and ask for your PUK code.

hope it helps...

The documentation that came with the SIM card contains the PUK code. If you have lost the documentation, then you need to contact your cell phone provider who supplied the SIM card and provide them with your details to confirm ownership, then they can supply you with the PUK code.

I dont have a PUK code for my mobile and need to unlock it. how can i get the PUK code without using my credit?

you don't have to pay for your PUK, that is your pin unblocking key, we usually need this code to unblock the wring typing of pin for 3 consecutive times. PUK is provided to you free of charge, when? the first time you buy the sim, it is written in the back of your sim card holder, together with your mobile number. or written in the receipt. written there were, PIN 1 = 1234 PUK 1 = example only 12345678 PIN 2 = 1234 PUK 2 = 12345678, if you input the pin 1 code wrong 3x, then you need to type PUK 1 which can unblock your pin so you can use your phone. if lost any of that code, ask your network provider to provide you.

take care.
