Bobbin winder won't turn

Hello. I am trying to fill a bobbin. I can release the clutch, but when I press the pedal nothing happens the bobbin winder moves when it is engaged. Is there something inside that is not happening? Thanks.

thankx i will check it out. the thing is my machine is not very old.

WizAs I understand it the winder will only work with the stop motion tight and not when it is undone to wind a bobbin, when you loosen the stop motion there is slight give in the balance wheel and I think either the winder rubber is worn down or the winder itself needs adjusting, you will need to get into the top of the machine for this.
