F1 is a very bad error unfortunately. Try unplugging the unit 60 seconds to see if it will reset the control board. If not, then you will need a new relay control board which is about $200, because F1 means that the board has detected an internal short inside the control board itself.
The manufacturer has issued a remedy for the F-1. What you do is empty the machine of water and unplug it. Open the control panel and remove the pressure hose. Blow out the hose to remove sediment . Re secure it to the control and retry. No parts needed. F-1 Error info

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code F1 indicates primary control failure and to resolve this you’ll have to replace the machine control assembly. Yes you are right, this error should be fixed by whirlpool as its a common issue with whirlpool Cabrio washers, you can call 1-800-253-1301 whirlpool will send a tech. to fix it and pay for the part. Check to see if the screens for your hot and cold water connections are plugged with grit.Or else the problem might be due to factory defect in the control circuit board of this washer. You have to replace the board. Thank you !!
You have something stuck in your pump, turn machine on it's side and take the bottom off you will see the pump, take the bottom off of pump and remove whatever is stuck, just had this problem today!!
