Try reconnecting to the accsess point. On your computer go to control panel, network connections. If you are using Windows xp, click on the network conntection your Xbox is connected to. Click the box the says "Client for microsoft Networks" Make sure there is a box with a check mark next to it. Do the same for other OSes but click allow internet sharing.

im not mark but if you have the box the one with the red ring of death version it should be under warranty as for the one that doesn't power on you can use its serial number to see if its under warranty on xbox home page (and there is a temporary red ring of death fix i used too seeing as Microsoft has know to find out when giving a refurbished one i know it looks stupid but it works look up towel trick in youtube im not sure behind the concept of how it works but i did it 3 different times buying me like 1.5 months before i turned it in it consists of overheating the 360 with towels its understandable if you think it looks to risky)
I think the motherboard need a reset ! the probleme look similar to the XBOX. there's a way to reset the box But use it at your own risk , as it can cause permanent damage to your systeme if not apply properly. and don't do anything without somebody confirming the methode. It consist in blocking all the fans with a wooden cocktail stick , turn on on box and wait till the systeme overheat then reset itself. then unplug le box , remove the sticks, replug and start the ps3 . good luck and be carefull
