Microprocessor module extraction tool

Dell Inspiron 2200, going to replace the power jack and I have to remove the microprocessor module. Guide reccommends removal with a tool. Where do I get one?

How to remove the battery of inspiron 2200


1. Turn your Dell 2200 laptop over.
2. Find the laptop battery release button lock for your Dell 2200 laptop.
3. Now that your Dell 2200 laptop battery is unlocked, find the battery release button down.
4. Holding the laptop battery release button, gently pull your battery away from the laptop.
5. Now that your Dell 2200 battery is removed, grab your replacement Dell 2200 battery for installation.
6. Insert the battery into the slot. Push the Dell 2200 battery towards the laptop and secure it in place.

I cannot remove or install my memory module into may laptop.


there are two white clips on each end of stickspush them back so there out of the way.grab the sticks and wriggle them and adventually they willcome out watch those clpis they come up a bit and will catch stick.

Inspiron 2200 Memory Module not recognised


Are you sure its the correct speed/type of RAM? According to Google your laptop takes PC2700 DDR RAM, ensure you are using this in both slots to avoid problems. If you have it fully inserted into the slot and nothing happens when you swtich it on then the laptop doesnt like that type of RAM and you'll need to change it.

Open cover to resolder power jack

Memory location Dell inspiron 2200


The memory inside is fixed but there is an open slot . Just open the access panel on the back and the slot is there. You can add up to 1GB

hi, the power jack must be removed by a strip out and de solder of jack and a new one fitted. I was lucky a guy took £30 for the job.

If you are trying to remove a cpu.

Use a basic screwdriver to open the lock and the cpu should come of easyly if not make sure all levers are on the open position in most cases the lever would point 90* degrees strate up.

Yes if you are talking about the socket at the computer it requires old one to be desoldered and replacement part should be soldered firmly.
