Looking at your users manual your television is "HD-Ready" which means it will be able to display images in an high definition resolution. But because of the age of this unit HDMI was not a standard format to provide the HD signal.
You should be able to connect an HD video source to your television with the Y, Pb, Pr Component connectors.
