If the IC is running hot, you probably have some bad caps in the circuit. Be sure to have a good capacitor checker that also tests for ESR. Also recheck your soldering work with a magnifying glass. The traces are so fine that it is easy to damage them.

I have an older Panasonic 26 inch tv the screen was a bit warped at the top off and on then the picture shrank to a bright horizontal line then went black the sound remains.

This is a common vertical circuit failure and if you had distortion at the top before, that was the capacitors in the circuit failing which filtwer the voltage to the vertical ic which has now failed as well.A lucky fix maybe just resolderingm the ic pins! A reputable shop may able to repair for less than $100 or I can guide you further to fix your self if you have technical expertise.

Re soldered vrticale part 7 prongs on back did not work please tell me to find awnsers my e-mail is xs.rider@yahoo.co.

You may have a bad vertical IC. Remove and proceed to measure the ground pin to the rest of the pins. A short will measure zero. And then you will have to check the capacitors in the same immediate area! Replace a s needed!

CF3273A Toshiba Vertical height and linearity problem, looking for adjustments

I'm not real sure what year this set is. Most sets 5 years or newer have service menu adjustments. Unless someone went in and adjusted it to get it out of adjustment, adjusting is not going to do much good. I would be looking for bad capacitors in the vertical circuit or possibly the vertical output IC. These IC's tend to run pretty hot anyway so they are usually the problem along with leaky caps.

Mitsubishi CS 35301: No vertical deflection: Is this repairable? Set is ~15 years old. Is it worth repairing? There were no problems prior to this failure.

either your vertical output transistor/I.C. is out or possibly a coupling capacitor is bad, does it try to fill the screen if you tap on the cabinet, if so open up the back and using something like a drink straw prod and push on the board and see if you have just a "cold" solder joint

Look for an IC with the following part markings: TDA8170, it should be mounted on a heatsink.

Sylvania tv model sst4272 no vertical

The LA78041 IC has failed. I replaced it twice before I cleaned the high voltage connection to the CRT. It was very cruddy from cigarette smoke. A high voltage discharge to the yoke takes out this IC. They are available for under $4.00 Good luck.

CRT color moitor

The "terrable loud high pitch sound" could be the horz. oscillator.
The voltages off the crt should be (+) (-) 11v to 15v DC. Too much on Blue & Red guns will cut them off

Panasonic model CT-36SL13G TV

Your problem is most likely the thermistor , or degausser, is going bad. It is a little black box with pins and says D1R5M on it. It can be found by following the wire from the degaussing coil around the picture tube. The location number is CF803( i think)the Panasonic partnumber is D4DF1R50001. Also, I believe your fuse is 6.3A not 3.6A.
