I TWON'T MOVE. IT SAYS ALL CHANNELS LOCKED OUT. NEED HELP

I have a RadioShack portable radio shack scanner 1000 channels or 146 or 143 all channels are locked out I can get it to skin with the public service option I can't figure out how to unlock it

think that their might be a loosed connection. Try to remove the back cover of your tv but be sure to unplug it, remember the location of each screw. then you will see a connectors try to press or unplug then plug it, be sure to return the connectors in their respective slots. then try look the pcb board the solder side try to observe if their is a weak solder, then if see something try to resolder it but be sure not to connect the separated pins to avoid short circuit to the unit.

You are referring to banks, not channels. When bank 0 is active, then you push 0 to de-activate it, you have now removed all your banks from the scan list. To re-activate any bank, just press any number. This is confusing because locking out a channel and removing a bank from the scan list are two very different operations but use the same terminology.

Used the solution of another user and it finally worked after a few attempts

Also have a 42" Toshiba and had the same problem, then had issues moving the channel order while some channels were set to skip.

What I ended up doing was retuning the tv. Then went through the channel list (Menu -> Setup -> DTV Setting -> Channels) and changed the number of the channels I didn't want to 1000+ (using the red button, ie 1001, 1002, 1003...). This in itself does not change the channel order, but when I then move these channels to the end of the channel list and because they are numbered numerically I can be sure I don't miss any.

Next I went to the channel options (Menu -> Setup -> DTV Setting -> Channel Options) and marked all the channels I'd moved to the end of the list as channels to skip and locked. This does not remove the channels from the EPG but it does move them to the end of the list and when scrolling with the channel +/- buttons these channels will not be selected.

Ideally I would also like to delete channels such as QVC etc altogether and would love to know if anyone has a more effective solution to this issue.

try holding the LO (lockout) button down for a few seconds and it will probably unlock all the channels on the bank its locked up in, then move to the next bank of channels and do it again

Wondering if this is what your asking about, I cant find reference to Cable only mode...

- Line 7 : “CHANNEL BLOCKED”
Indicates that all channels are locked except the selected channel.
The following complaints may be generated due to locked channels:
- TV cannot be switched on from standby with the local keyboard buttons.
- “CH+” and “CH-“ buttons on local keyboard do not function.
To disable the LOCK feature:
Select ”FEATURE” menu (with the Remote Control).
Select “LOCK” (with the Remote Control).
Set to “OFF”

press c for a long period of time

I pressed some key on my remote accidently and thereon i have not been able to move to any other channel except adjusting the volume in this one...pls suggest...I do not know if this got locked..

Need a make and model to determine what codes needed to unlock.
